Pricey for what it is
This is an excellent little gadget for quieting the recorder when you want to practice at late or inconvenient hours. It really does work. The downside is, although this is ideal for young students for convenience in a classroom, there is a recorder hack. Cut a small strip of paper about 2 inches long and a bit smaller than the window . Place in in the window of the recorder, fold it over slightly. Amount spent, nothing, works perfectly.

Work well with Yamaha, but not other brands
I bought these for my elementary music class so the recorders were not so loud. They snap on very easy and work well. Something I thought people should know is that they work really well with Yamaha recorders, but other (cheaper) recorders they totally block the sound, so they can't hear what note they are playing. I'm not sure why it works only on certain brands of recorders, please check what brand recorder you have before buying these.
