Don't hesitate if you are looking for a nice and great book stand. It can support even heavy books from 800 to 1,200 pages.I use other devices to keep the book open, the clamps of the side just hold between 400-500 pages of the book, but it does not bend or broke as you may think.

This stand has a tendency to tip over backwards if the book is too heavy and angled up. The feet on the bottom only extend so much, so it topples over immediately.

Easy to put together. I've had this for several months now and I love using this to read any textbooks for class. It's amazing and a lot better for my neck while reading. Being able to read from a stand is a lot more comfortable than without a stand. I bring this with me outside and the page holders keep it still from the wind.

Do not expect this device to hold big or heavy books like school books! It will only hold smaller, lighter books like modest-length novels. Apparently it will hold medium sized hardback and paperback books. The stand is strong. The clips are very limited in strength and how thick a book they can hold.
