I like the options that it brings to a studio setting. How ever I broke it within 5 seconds of trying to put it up. It needs re designing to make it easier to put up and to put back in the bag. Seller was good and on time. Hence 3 overal

The media could not be loaded.  This is a comprehensive 3-light setup, with heads, hoods and tripods and soft boxes. The heads can give out straight white or coloured lighting - and also have an 'FX' mode with a few predefined effects such as 'police car' or candlelight. The lights are either on or off - and cannot be triggered by (for example) a camera so they are more for lighting a scene than flash photography. They come with a remote control that can control one light at a time or all at once which is quite convenient. Each light has a nice led back panel showing the luminance, battery level (batteries are optional),. Mode and so on - and sufficient controls that the remote control is entirely optional. One criticism is the length of the mains cable - its only a few feet long so you will need a power outlet close to each light (very different from my flash photography kit which have metres and meters of cable). The tripods seem fairly sturdy and the addition of a boom arm is a nice touch. All in all nice little kit, just be sure that it meets your intended use before purchasing.

Unzipping the included storage bag, emptying the contents and building the basic lights up was all very straightforward – I even completed it without looking at any of the documentation that was included. And all done within ten minutes.The instructions are printed on 2 small leaflets – one on how to use & setup the lights, and the other on the remote control. As stated in the details on the Amazon product page, the remote control & lights do not come with batteries. The lights are powered normally with their own 2-part power adapters.The lights can be extended from about 3 feet to around 6 feet, and the boom arm can obviously go higher. The counterweight for the boom arm comes empty and can be filled with anything heavy – sand, rocks, a large book or two, etc.Selecting the required colour is a matter of using the buttons & dials at the back of the light. There are some preset settings already set up to get you started or use as a basis to tweak the colour. The light can be dimmed from 10% to 100%, and each light is very bright when at 100%A welcome feature is that the settings are saved when the light is turned off and back on again. Not sure how long they are kept for, but the did store them for the 5-10 minutes when I repositioned the lights to another room.This is a great lighting kit if you’re thinking of doing some amateur photography or filming, or even using it for a youtube channel. For me it was just let down a little by the sparse instructions – why put together a positive lighting kit like this and not have some decent instructions for the user to reference?

I do both casual photography/videography and found this Neewer RGB LED Softbox Lighting Kit quite reliable at delivering a consistently good performance. To start with, this is a disclaimer that this kit is not a portable one, I mean there is a dedicated bag and everything but to move it around you would probably need a car. For those travelling via train and looking for a compact and lightweight option look elsewhere or just take only what you need so that you reduce the weight.The kit includes 3 x LED Light Head; 3 x Softbox; 3 x Power Adapter with Plug; 3 x Light Stand; 1 x 2.4G Remote Control; 1 x Boom Arm; 1 x Carrying Bag; 1 x Empty Sandbag. I would say it is a complete lighting set for light studio photography, as long as you have a backdrop.Installation and setup might be confusing if you are not familiar with similar kits, but since this is my 3rd or 4th kit, it didn't take me much time to set everything up and experiment with it. The potential is great and this delivers perfect performance in several settings. You can use it for portrait photography with different light settings and configurations, you can apply colour profiles, or just use white colour with various warm-cool settings.The colourful effects also make it convenient for videography. In sum, a very decent kit from Neewer as usual. I use them for several types of gear and they never disappoint.

These lighting kits are the perfect solution. Pop one up one right and one left, make it bright. The soft box, is made of a strong durable material as well. I like that i can use them with or without the light box diffusers. The stand is pretty sturdy and holds the light up. The remote control is making life so much easier, it really easy to control one or all the lights. I don't have to touch every light when you want to change something especially the taller one as it's hard to see the display at that higher angle. Really easy to set up and put back into the carrying bag, makes it so easy to either store the set when I don't need it or for traveling.
