Facial Features Application & Techniques: Reborn Dolls & Kits (Excellence in Reborn Artistry Series, Case Study, No. 7)

The book is ok for the newbie like me. I just like many people buy manny many book DVD regarding to the project that I am going to start . I want to start to do my own new reborn doll so I buy any thing about how to do this project of mine and this one of the book that I gets my hand on. All the books that I have if you are new like me and English as a second language I recommend " The Art & Magic of Reborning II Creating Lifelike Collectible Baby Dolls Using Genesis Hetset Paints with Stephanie Sullivan". You only need to buy one book easy to understand step by step from the beginning to the end. All you need to know is in this book then you don't have to buy so many book that keep go back and forth making you confuse and end up to buy so many equipment that waste your money. it just my opinen and just like l said English is my second language if I can understand any body can by the way pictures is so clear I call it my recipe book for reborn. You can be like me brought a ton of book and find out is just some thing still missing not clear or just buy one book and save a lots of money.

Great for beginners and those with some experience. Explains in detail how to reborn dolls.

Not much useful information for someone who already knows the basic painting. Good for beginner but a little outdated.

Very old book w no useful information in it as well as the artist is dated

This is a superb book. Clear photographs, easy to understand instructions, and well set out. It does promote cedrtain brand names, despite saying it does not endorse them, but the over-use of specific brand names of kits and equipment is a little over the top at times and it can get in the way of a good flow within the book itself. It is also American, which means that the book speaks of products that trip off the tongue over the pond but we have to look up on t'internet to find out what exactly 'Rit' is.That said, the book has a lot of info inside. There are several techniques for painting your Reborn, and details of little features that make it not just have a basic blush-and-go paint job but that add specific features such as mottling and millia.The only one thing I would say is that you do need the basic techniques book to understand this one thoroughly, but it is available within the same series and it is worth getting that before this one to give you the general idea of what goes where and how things work.And if you have already done reborning and want to expand your knowledge of all things decorative on the face of baby dolls, then this book is perfect for you.

Good book, but really expensive for such a thin paper back.

The book is well presented and I like the step by step instructions given as I am a complete beginner to this .
