VTI AR Series 5-Shelf Audio Rack Pole Color: Silver, Shelf Color: Cherry

I have 2 of these and use for oversized audio / video gear. The rack being on wheels makes it easy to pull away from the wall when you need access to the back. Well constructed and easy to assemble. Recommended.

The description of this product specifically lists "High Density Plastic" (HDPE) which any reasonable person would assume refers to the shelves (especially with how thin they are). When I was turning the bolt into the top shelf, the fastener on the top shelf ripped lose, that is when I immediately realized the shelves are just fiberboard (pressed wood). Overall the unit is still better then the typical Ikea unit, but at this price point I was expecting HDPE shelves.

I own other models of the VTI stands and bought this one for a second audio system. Unlike other VTI stands which can be configured and are actually separate shelves, this one assembles into a one-piece unit. All VTI products I have purchased are well built and fit precisely. This model is great for a system on hardwood or tile flooring. I would not recommend it for use on carpeting.The casters allow the unit to be moved and gain access to the rear of the components for quick access to cabling. The spacing above the lowest shelf is tall enough to accommodate even large size power amps. The weight of the power amp on the bottom shelf of the unit adds to the overall stability as well.These are not the inexpensive racks, but are a very good value.

This rack is well well made, easy to assemble and solid. The wheels work well and make connecting components very easy. No complaints at all.
