Pink Is for Boys

A Refreshing and Inclusive Read
As a parent, I'm always on the lookout for books that not only entertain but also impart valuable lessons. 'Pink is for Boys' caught my eye at a time when my 6-year-old son was facing ridicule at school for his love of the color pink. This book turned out to be a delightful and significant addition to our reading routine.Key Points:Challenging Stereotypes: Despite what the title might suggest, this book is a celebration of all colors for all children. It wonderfully breaks down the outdated notion that certain colors are meant for specific genders.Inclusive Message: The story goes beyond just pink and boys. It emphasizes that every color is for everyone, breaking gender norms and encouraging children to embrace their preferences without biases.Impactful for Kids Facing Teasing: For my son, who was feeling disheartened by peers' comments about his favorite color, this book was a beacon of support. It helped him understand that his choice is valid and nothing to be ashamed of.Adorable and Engaging: The book is not just about its message; it's also a joy to read. The illustrations are charming, and the narrative is engaging, making it a great read for kids and adults alike. Conclusion:'Pink is for Boys' is more than just a children's book; it's a tool for parents and educators to teach inclusivity and acceptance. It stands out as an essential read in today's world where breaking gender stereotypes is crucial for the healthy development of children. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enrich their child's understanding of gender neutrality in a fun and adorable way.

Such a good message
I originally bought this book for my 1 year old son but it happened to arrive around the same time that my 3 year old daughter started saying “pink is for girls” that she likely heard at daycare. It’s so sweet and such an amazing message for ALL children (and adults!). All about inclusivity and acceptance!

Beautiful and simple book! My kiddo loves it!
Great book! Beautifully illustrated and a cute way to go through colors. My daughter loves it and has already asked me to read it a dozen times and will read it to her stuffed animals. Not sure what is so controversial about this book- the message is simple: colors are for everyone.

AMAZZZZIIIING
This book is amazing. I am a teacher, and a parent. The more time goes on, the more I am understanding how much progress has been made in acceptance for girls to act/look/like things that defy gender stereotypes, and how LITTLE, if any, growth has been made in the same respect, for boys. My the time my 8 year old students get to me, they are already ingrained with so many stereotypes and assumptions. This book is amazing. It states a crucial message, simply and clear. My son, who is almost 7, loves this book. I think it is a safe haven for him. As a kid who cares about his rep, I believe it to be a sanctuary. My only negative of this book is that it continues the oppression of trans/gender-fluid folks by clearly stating boys and girls, repeatedly.

An important message for kids...and their adults
This excellent book does a good job of gently combatting silly old stereotypes about who can/should enjoy wearing which colors. My only complaint, ironically, is that the colors the artist has used in the illustrations are not necessarily recognizable as the colors American children associate with the color names. Overall, I love the book, as does my four-year-old grandson, who calls it "the paint book" because of the flyleaf illustrations and requests it often.

New Favorite Book
The Illustrations in this books are EXCELLENT!!! My 3 yo has fallen so in love with this book, they have it memorized and "reads" it all the time. I wanted a book that would reaffirm my children's love of all the things they love without scaring them about what other people think. This book delivers just that and more. And unicorns. Because unicorns!

Good primer
This is a very basic book but good for what it is - I wanted to prime my son against getting ideas from other kids or adults that certain colours aren't for boys. I think it does risk reinforcing that there are only two genders so I don’t repeat the boys and girls line on the last page; I just say all the colours are for everyone. The illustrations are well done (although not a lot of representation of body types - only one child is not super skinny, but there is a boy in a wheelchair so they did try). My 2 year old enjoys the book.

Fantástico libro para enseñar a los niños y niñas que los colores son para todos. E nuestro caso ha mullido el objetivo por lo que estoy muy satisfecha por la compra.

Baby boy loves it
My boy thoroughly enjoys reading this book. He gets to pick his own bedtime stories and this one is always in the rotation. Such a necessary message if we want to have gender equality. Definitely recommended for all parents to get this book and to move away from the strict gender norms with babies. Babies just love all colours and types of toys so just let them have it all and decide what they like or not.
