Power BI DAX Simplified: DAX and calculation language of Power BI demystified by practical examples Paperback – 17 July 2021

If you want an easy to understand text on DAX with lots of discussions and examples, this is the book for you (and me!).I wanted to get back to the basics with DAX and work my way back up through the different uses of DAX. I'm only a few chapters in but I'm not disappointed. But then again, I follow the author on twitter, youtube and his website so I know what to expect :-)

Does what it says...DAX Simplified. No earth shattering stuff but that's not what the book is for.I'm probably a little more advanced than maybe the target audience but I still felt the information useful.

I am a beginner and I spent some money looking for the best book possible in my case. Of course everybody start by recommending authors like Matt Allington, Rob Collie and all the like, which are very good references. The problem is that these guys tend to stay in a high level sphere (they are friends and colleagues of each others). But when it comes to learning from scratch (I am a french chemist) I believe this book is THE VERY BEST. Hands down. The reason is simple: the author is very active in the Power BI community and owns a blog and a YouTube channel (he is nevertheless an authority in this domain). He has been smart enough to collect all the beginners questions and structure his book in a way he could answer the common questions beginners ask. This is brilliant and it achieves this goal. The result is a book completely designed to help beginners to understand and apply easily the DAX. I believe I will buy all the books from this author.

Good overview of DAX elements.Some useful and concise use cases.Can fit to beginners or experienced developers.Well structured.

Very very useful all the concepts are explained in simple manner which will strengthen your dax fundamentals. I recomend 100% all dax users to go for this book

Great content and very helpful as it covered all important training items about PowerBI and how to manage its features.
