Real Damascus
Arrived decently sharp. Real leather sheath. Actual inlays in scales. Not perfect grinds but. perfectly functional. True Damascus blade. Larger than pictured but ready to cut/slice. A true bargain. Sheath snug but does fit the knife. Heavily stitched for longevity. Leather will stretch with use. Good buy. Mosaic pins in hilt. Well done for the price def. Damascus. Now have had it for two months in a shed, in Florida. No rust whatsoever. putting a few finger grooves in hilt. Wood is hard and the steel every bit as hard as advertised. Nice to customize a custom knife. Great great value.have had for 2months in the sheath, no rust. Rust a non-issue for me.

A blade sharpened too short.
I bought this knife after seeing the pictures and reading the reviews. With that said I received the knife and it looked different from the advertised/pictured knife shown. I thought I probably received the wrong knife so I decided to send it back and purchase another. Before returning the first knife I purchased another to see the difference between the new and first knife. Both looked the same but, not like the advertised/pictures shown. Now, I took the next step and wrote to the company (Perkins) and felt like I received answers to someone else’s emails. Plus, I added pictures, which when reading the replies, it appeared as if they were not looked at. I’ll add one of the pictures I sent and those who read this can tell me if you can find the difference. It’s a nice looking knife on its own but, not identical to what is clearly shown on the advertised knife. 3 stars for a nice knife minus 2 because of the obvious difference of the knifes I bought and the advertised knife I looked forward to.

A Real Deal!
Everything I expected. I had read some reviews claiming that this is Faux Damascus. That does not appear to be the case. Careful examination reveals numerous layers from every possible angle. Full Tang. No welds. Nice wide blade. Sharp as a razor out of the box with no sharpening needed. Nice uniform cutting edge. No effort required for the paper sacrificed in testing. Several sheets of paper later this is still razor sharp. This is a great deal for a bush craft knife. Nice solid, full feel and nice balance in the hand. Nice sheath tight enough to hold the knife securely even if worn around the neck with the handle down. This is my first Perkin knife! It will not be the last. Big enough to baton up to 2". Have not baton tested since it was evening when it arrived. Seems stout enough to handle the task. Better half wants one also. Nice stocking stuffer!

Literally the most beautiful I've I have ever owned
Literally the most beautiful knife I have ever owned. I was pleased to find that it is true Damascus steel as I have been wanting one for quite a while. The wood handle is gorgeous and solid and the craftsmanship is obvious. I absolutely love this knife, not to mention that it arrived very quickly after ordering, 2 days. The sheath is genuine leather a d fits perfectly. I am very pleased with my purchased. I will be buying another in the future.

Typical Pakistani "Damascus."
Heavy and beginning to delaminate already.I've removed the cheap handles, and drilled out the tang under the new handles. The laminations are flaking off already.Design is American but the execution...A fun challenge to remake. This is not for real use. Mostly for display as it's too heavy, rusts easily, delaminates, as is poorly sharpened.Looks reasonably good tho!

Better than expected.
Don’t be disheartened by the reviews saying they received a different looking knife. That must have been a shipping error, because this thing is an absolute beauty. Is heavy in the hand and the Damascus looks incredible. Razor sharp out of the box. This thing is the real deal.

When I got the knife it was Beautiful. it did
When I got the knife it was Beautiful. it did, however rust while just kept in doors... I cleaned it off and it rusted again. The sheath is really generic and doesn’t even fit the knife, it’s huge. So I can’t carry it anywhere.
