Kitchen Kraft LARGE MANUAL COMMERCIAL JUICER Gray

Bought this machine to squeeze pomegranates. Works very well and it is easy to clean. I do not like it too much for squeezing oranges.

I spent roughly three hours reading reviews and comparing products, because when I first began researching this item, all I saw were dozens of pictures of products priced $40-$150+ that all seemed to look like the same thing. I operate a small diversified farm and we were tired of having so many of our Kanadahar (grenadine) pomegranates go to waste because of not realizing that things like affordable pomegranate presses existed. I read many of the critical reviews of the other products; everything from poorly manufactured parts, to stands that tipped over. So, first the good: This is one of the heavier presses; it weighs more than ten pounds. You want this; the weight is important to the ease of use. The operation is basic; you slip all or half of the fruit under the press, and slowly bring the handle down. A glass or measuring cup placed underneath catches the juice. NO manual or instructions come with the unit but honestly, it is more than intuitive. We found quickly that small poms that were nicked on the side to allow the juice to escape could be pressed, as could large halves. You won't get every last drop of juice; it's a limitation of every press of its kind. However you will get most of it. We measured medium sized fruits yielding 2/3 cup juice each. It is possible to hand squeeze or use another method (place fruit on board with grooved juice catcher and roll juiced fruit with rolling pin) if you feel you must get every last ounce of juice for some reason. The unit can be cleaned with ridiculous ease; the two removable components rinse easily and a damp towel can clean up the rest. This is a simple mechanical device. Press the fruit reasonably slowly rather than hauling the handle down in a great hurry; there won't be any splatter. Don't mash the fruit for all you're worth; you and the machine will both be happier; there is only so much juice to extract. We gave the juiced halves to the chickens; they were very happy to enjoy the seeds and the few unpressed arils. The bad: The unit can tip forward a little. It's not obnoxious, and common sense would tell anyone to keep their spare hand on the unit while applying force to the handle. In order to not have this issue, the base would need to extend forward about six more inches forward of where it does and would probably raise the weight by three more pounds. It is more than functional as it is, and the price is fair. The unit is all enameled metal and the rubber handle is heavy. For the price, by comparison, we are very happy with this out of the box, and are looking forward to a waste-free pom season on our farm.

Liked the weight and strength of this design.My fruit is a bit smaller than this units optimum size, so it is not versatile enough design to handle small to medium sized pomegranates. Quality otherwise is excellent.

Well made, easy to operate, ease clean up. Some of the seeds squished out from the sides of the strainer and didn't get juiced. Had to hold down on the back of the unit while pressing down the handle.

pomegranate needs more pressure but if you press hard the stand will triple - not a stable foundation - poor design and not tested with high pressue, the leg should have been half inch longer on the pressure side to solve this problem - still considering leave it or return it[update] 12/2/18 - this machine now is totally unoperable, the alignment issue with the axis, it cannot go up and down easily - issued a return ... do not buy this machine.

you have to be a super strong person to use this bulky press. disappointed it was made of cast iron

This citrus juicer is very well made and sturdy. It is easy to use as well.The only downside the space is to small to keep a vessel to hold the juice, one needs to find the right vessel to place when extracting the orange juice. All said and done its one of the best manual juicer I have ever used.

Finally, a way to make juice from my pomegranates! Very heavy sturdy structure. My husband found ways to tweek the way u cut and place the pomegranates to get most output. Cleaning is a piece of cake too. We are very happy with the purchase!
