Arm & Hammer - 1155 Fridge-N-Freezer Baking Soda, 14 oz, Multi

I put one of these in my freezers and fridges at home (yes, I have a few) and change them every month. I've been doing it for years now, and odors are kept away.

Good, works well in fridge, keeps odors out. what else is there to add?

I typically change my baking soda every 6 months, rather than the 1 month recommended on the package. Even after 6 months, I still find it useful for cleaning various areas of my house and as a spot remover. It works just as well for these purposes, making it a great multi-use product for me.

I have this in a little 1.7 dorm refrigerator after defrosting and I put it in. It still smells but not as bad. Works great on the corrosion of my battery terminals 😂

Love that it has a cover to keep sofa in box in case it gets tipped over in the fridge. Works great

If you use baking soda to provide odor control for your refrigerator, then this product is for you. It's very convenient where the sides can be removed, to expose a breathable layer on the front and back. So instead of ripping the top off and putting in your fridge, and run the risk of spilling the contents, this style box allows you to expose the breathable layer, without opening the actual baking soda box (so no chance to spill). While I've used this for my fridge, I'm not sure it works (but then again, I try not to keep my fridge stinky to begin with). If you are on the frugal side, what you can do after three months (time to replace), is open the top of the box, and discard the old/used baking soda, and refill the box with new/fresh baking soda, and reseal the box (I used tape). This will 1) allow you to reuse the breathable layer, 2) refill using bulk baking soda bag (much cheaper); and 3) when you reseal (tape) the box, you prevent the baking soda from spilling. I accidentally spilled an entire coffee pot worth of coffee into my fridge. Even after I cleaned it up, not only did the fridge smell but my freezer also smelled of coffee. I'm not a coffee fan so smelling it every single time I opened the fridge was not an option, nor was replacing it, though the thought crossed my mind. In my desperation, I came online looking for a solution and came across the Arm and Hammer baking soda box. I almost bought it when I remembered they had one specifically for the fridge. I immediately purchased it and it arrived the next day. I didn't hesitate opening it and placing it right in the fridge. I could already smell a huge difference an hour later. It's now been well over two weeks and I can't smell coffee in the fridge or the freezer so you've made a lifetime customer out of me!
