Seems legit for my use
“Trigger warning”: I’m not a collector. I bought this spear for practical use. My review might be too much for sensitive people so, if that’s you, don’t read this.I bought this for pest control, specifically for rats. I’ve had rats in my chicken coop from time to time. Poisons are not safe around the chickens and there are many locations where traps are either dangerous to the chickens or they simply won’t fit. Rats are fast so a weapon with a little reach is necessary. On a couple of occasions, I’ve been able to very quickly and humanely remove the rats with a machete; however, that requires some room to swing it. That’s not often possible. So I needed something that can reach into a confined space where I don’t have the clearance to swing a weapon. Knives weren’t practical because they’re too short which limits your field of view while using them. Also, they can put you at risk for a bite, and I’ve nearly been bitten twice (fun fact: rats can bite through a leather glove like it’s not even there). So, I bought this portable spear. So far, I’m very impressed and optimistic about its usefulness.Specs:The compass is rather useless to me and you can’t see it when the spear is assembled. The compass is only visible is you’re holding the tip section as a knife. It’s rather heavy. It tipped my scale at 2 lbs. 4.2oz (1026g). It’s entirely made of steel except for the button compass, and the end cap.I used a construction level to see how straight it is and my appears to be ramrod straight (see photo).Overall when assembled it’s about 44” long. The tip section is 15” (37cm) long. That includes a 10-1/8” (25cm) blade with a NEEDLE SHARP tip! The cutting edges are functionally sharp but not razor sharp. Most knives don’t ship razor sharp so you can sharpen this when you get it.The knife handle of the tip is 4-1/4” (10cm) long so it can comfortably be held one handed as a dagger. The slots cut into the blade lower the weight, but aside from that, I’m not crazy about them because they could snag on twigs or board nails. I hope not.Overall, I’m pleased and optimistic. Finally, before you buy this you should clearly understand that this is NOT a throwing spear. This is a thrusting spear. It’s very poorly designed for throwing. Of course, you CAN throw it and people do but it’s not designed for that and probably won’t function well for it.

Too Short
This would be the perfect length to use as a hiking stick for a normal sized man if it just had about 6 more inches. As it comes, it's just awkward to carry assembled because it's long but not quite long enough. It would be simple enough to offer one more section so you could use it this way.

36” blade in 47” blade out
Needs to come with cap to protect compass even if it was bottom piece of spear. If it came with two bottom sections spear would be 47” blade in or out. Blade tip rattles when closed up took care of that by putting foam in the end of piece that blade hides in. I believe threads to be 1” British parallel threads. Will know for sure Sunday when my adapter comes in. If it works I’ll be able to put blade on both ends or a cane handle

Good spear, wish I could use the compass while blade is sheathed.
It’s a pretty cool spear and the blade is very sharp, so are the edges. It does come with a bag but if it’s gonna be put together most of the time it’s no point. This is more of a traveling spear even though I’m not sure on the law’s of flying with one but great for camping.

Great idea, but too short. Need to offer additional sections and adapter for hiking staff length.
Very sturdy. Great concept. Be better if it could be made longer with a hiking tip.

Okay
It was a spear. But the connection was not great between the tube were they twist together with other ones. it was bent out from the inside out. Like it wasn't tight. I figured it be longer.

Not durable
This product is very disappointing especially for the price. The only good thing about this product is the blade is very sharp. The staff it self is not fully put together. I hit the staff with part of the staff and it made a big dent. It’s not very durable. For the price this product shouldn’t be bought. If it was like 16 dollars then maybe but as of right now this product needs some improvements.
