My Pet could not get water flowing from this unit and she is used to this type of roller ball water bottles.Product was a huge disappointment but it looke good.Sorry to say. I’m returning this.

Our Shichon puppy makes a huge mess when he drinks. His whole chin goes in the water and he drips everywhere. Came across this while looking for a solution and thought it would be worth a try for the cost. It took quite a long time before the dog caught on to how to use it. We had to experiment with utilizing the ball bearings for proper flow. I can tell he doesn’t get enough liquid, but changing the bearings makes it either drip all the time or not allow the water to flow. The clips are hard for me to adjust to get the bottle set in properly and was trial and error to get the right height on the poles or him. It’s very light weight and sometimes he’ll actually tip it over if he gets frustrated. The most disappointing part is that you have to take the bottle out of the clips, unscrew the bottom and hope the ball bearing doesn’t fall out in order to fill it. The design makes it look like the top piece unscrews (would be much more convenient) for filling. My pup needs it filled more than once a day as it is the size of a regular bottled water.Bottom line, this was a no go on most levels.

The only problem is you constantly need weight in the bowl if the bottle is not directly over bowl itself or else it’ll fall over.Take in mind I have guinea pigs. It hold good amount of water. The bowl can hold more than enough pellets or act as a catch for water. It stays together strong and take up little space when transporting.I would recommend it from my own experience.

The size is just perfect. However, mine was broken.
