This is the only privacy film I will ever buy
I purchased this film about a year ago for my car and it has held up really good, it throws EXCELLENT color. Recently we purchased a home in an urban area, and decided to use this film again on a window that faces a busy parking lot. The film casts rainbows even from the cars headlights in the parking lot next to our house at night, I've attached a photo for reference. This is a little bit expensive but it is 100% worth the cost, I have tried several other brands and this not only looks better on the window but the vibrancy of the rainbow is stunning. I got the confetti pattern! If you are considering purchasing a cheaper option, DON'T. Just buy this one, the quality is great and it'll stay on your window a lot longer :)

Amazing amount of rainbows!
I'm going to agree with the great reviews about this product. I will add that I did place some on a door and later realized a tree would leaf out and obliterate the sun in the summer. I was able to remove it without any damage and reattach it to the original paper I had separated it from and apply it many days somewhere else. It worked as good as new. It certainly throws color far beyond the beam of the light that strikes it. The film itself throws a translucent shadow. The rainbows will be thrown outwards so that many will appear far from where the sunlight falls. They'll travel through perpendicular doorways. I'm planning to procure some clear film sort of like for office report covers (but not that), anyway, something so I can more easily give hunks away that can attached with a double-sided tape (without taping to the rainbow film) that people can move through their homes with the seasons. I might add the product washes easily but perhaps do not use paper towels as they may scratch this as they do some plastics. This is my 3rd order of this product. I have had some up for about a year and it looks as good as new. Have given most away. I did attach some to a 1'x2' piece of plexiglass and ended up with a couple if quarter sized bubble spots where it did not squeegee out which appeared kind of white, neither did a pinprick resolve the issue (still very cool & portable for rainbow parties...). My attempt to remove the rainbow film to redo it was unsuccessful as it has a tacky backing which was very stuck to the plexiglass so the end result is about an inch of the film looking kind of funky as it never resealed having transferred the 'glue' to the plexiglass. The effect is as tremendous however and I do not write to discourage its use for such an application but warn that the film is impossible to reposition on plastic and very probably will leave the entirety of its glue on the plexiglass once removed and most likely require a solvent along with scaping to get off. Trying to pull the holographic film off the plexiglass was impossible as the film was being separated from its glue though it had been only a minute. The longer the distance the rainbows travel the larger they become, they retain their intensity. As little as a 4"x12" strip is quite magical.

Add a lot of color while adding some privacy.
I love the color that this gives off, I bought it for my front facing window that gets a lot of sunlight. I wanted to keep the natural light that comes in while providing a little bit more privacy and this does the trick. My living room has a decent amount of colors in the decor so this also displays this crazy wash of colors all through my living room to add to it and I really like it. It was also insanely easy to install.

Beautiful rainbow effect
Love. Love. Love! Okay this thing is a pain in the you know what to apply because I went as slow as I could and still have bubbles but the rainbow was so beautiful I dont care. Worth it. I was skeptical and honestly thought I would have to return but it did just what was described. Just 1.5 inches wider would have been awesome. Only reason it's 4 stars and not 5 is the application process.

Satisfied! Extended review with photos!
AESTHETICI only just installed it and I am very satisfied with the rainbows. Even on an overcast day like today, I get to anticipate when the sun will come out to play with the colors. This is a delight. (Note: all windows in my apartment face south.) I do notice that there is a combination of shadows and rainbows that match the shape of the decals. I am not sure why, but I am assuming it is because of double panels with one being UV filtered? But I am not a physicist. I was nervous about the actual aesthetic of the film on my windows as I do love the view from my windows. This is why I chose to stagger the film in a triangular pattern. I like the way it looks, but there is definitely a messiness to a few of the pieces that I had less luck applying (but I totally didn't follow all the directions, so that's on me).APPLICATIONOne of my panels is clearly the one I started on. There was a bit of a learning curve for me. I have applied wall decals before and so began by taping the pieces up and then trying to spray some soapy water beneath. But the tape would get wet and fall off. I ended up just peeling them from the paper backing and sticking them freehand to the wet window. I was also in a process of trial and error to replace my non-existent squeegee. I eventually found that a DVD case works best. The second panel has one big air bubble that I must have missed and it is a minor eyesore. But this panel was a better success. I arranged the pieces to the space first, taping them, and then moving them to the panel below just to maintain order. This really sped the process up. You definitely needs to douse the window, too. I found that, working bottom to top, I had to respray as I got toward the end.MEASUREMENTSMy main living room window is four 30x28" window panes (see 7th and 8th photos). I decided to use triangles (as they are easy to measure and cut) to stagger them. I did this so that I could cover the space in a logical way (one sheet just misses the amount need to cover two panes) and also so that I could still see out to the lovely woods behind my apartment. I had quite a bit left over, so I also covered the central pane on my backdoor window (7x11.5"). I still have a 17x4.5" strip that I will keep for a bit until I figure out what to do with it. I might do moon phase cut outs since this pattern film tends to hold the shape of the cut-out (which is why I chose it rather than the more popular radial film).OVERALL IMPRESSIONS/VALUEI have only just applied them, but could certainly see myself purchasing this again. I am in an apartment, and even just peeling and reapplying while wet left the pieces with a bit of a fogginess, so I will likely not be able to reuse them (but that does not mean I won't try!). I am rather happy--especially as my only windows face south so I was not sure how the sun would hit.
