I purchased this with a small 22.5 inch fire pit with a grated bottom. I live in a downtown metro area and was concerned about safety with burning in close quarters. This is the perfect accessory to go with smaller contained fires. As a note, there is still charring on the underside surface and the grass area looked like it has some charring, but still a protective alternative.

Very nice, sturdy, perfect size for my grill, not sure if it will last the harsh weather.

Overall, the product was a good fit for the Kamado Joe. The only problem is the edges are curling up; not a good look for the deck.

It was a slow death for the grass I bought it to protect. The next morning there was a tiny dead patch, I could live with. Two days later this is what it looks like. On top of that the edges of the mat melted where some loose embers fell.

Must have for firepits for extra safety.
