Ordered this 1 to 3 Toslink Splitter, so that I could connect my Bluesound Node Streamer to two (2) seperate audio amplifiers. The audio signal goes from the digital optical out of the Bluesound Node, into the input of the Toslink Splitter. Then the first out connection on the splitter is connected to the input of my DAC - which then connects to amp-1 using RCA cables. (My standalone DAC sounds better than the internal Bluesound Node DAC.) The second out connection on the splitter is connected directly to my second amplifier, which has a good internal DAC. This setup allows me to stream HD audio to both my family room, and to my bedroom. Works great and of course - Bluesound Node sounds fantastic as a streamer.

Great item! Really hard to find an optical switch with all of the cables running out the back. It makes the switch and my setup look much better that way. The only one I found on Amazon that did that. The remote works and so does the switching.My only gripe is the same as most of these China tech boxes the leds are BLINDING.. It took 7 layers of led dimmer stickers to get the light to a dim enough level.

The item was bogus, it came in a box with remote & charging cable but did not work upon closer examination of the unit, it was completely empty no lights, no circuit boards and whatever was inside was loose because you could hear it rattling inside. Company needs to do more and be aware of its products that it sells that are defective.

We purchased this unit after the 1st audio splitter we tried failed. This is one is an "Active" splitter. Which means it requires power, but that is what is needed to properly get enough signal to split for 2 devices. We use this for powering wireless head phones and a soundbar on our TV simultaneously. The first one we tried was a passive (no power) splitter and it failed. This one works great and you can use a Micro USB cable and just plug it into the USB port on your TV for power, or use any USB power adapter.

So this product actually does split the 2 audio from 1 single source. The only issue is that it is not timed. It could be 2 different sound bars but they are both LG and if I put them on the same EQ settings like cinema or voice or music it is very close but still not perfectly timed. Also I have to make sure both sound bars get turned on at the same time before you stream music or video. Have not tried live TV. Need to try it cause one sound bar doesn't have a aux jack but I am still happy with the results.
