Perfect replacement router for someone who doesn't like to change brand name
This router is fantastic! Anyone sitting on the fence about this—perhaps due to experience with an older Netgear model or concerns about the higher-priced options—should know that the 300 is excellent. It supports BT's PPPoE connection (as I am in the UK) and delivers near-full package speeds over Wi-Fi. Most of my PCs are hardwired for the office, so they benefit from the 2.5Gb LAN port, which can easily connect to a switch.I don’t find the complaints others mention about ads in the control panel to be an issue; they are likely just promoting their own products. The interface includes only what you need and is very easy to use. The ping is fantastic for gaming.I have minor ocd not diagnosed but I dont like changing brands that have been reliable for me in past this router fits the bill for me.

Stunning router, excellent addition to my home network and highly recommended for gamers too.
This is a stunning cable/fibre router for online gaming and home use where there is a demand for lots of Wifi and Network use. I currently have this connected to a 5 port hub, which feeds an 8 port hub upstairs, then feeds a 16 port hub. It also feeds a lower spec Orbi which is Tri-Band (long before Netgear did triband routers). My current ISP is supplying 500mb, and I have on instances on tests got 501-600mb with a respectable 100mb+ upload. I initially had problems with connection to my ISP, but this was due to a shipped firmware as the unit was bought from Amazon and been in the warehouse.Once I had upgraded the firmware, it connected in seconds and has not given me any problems. The web interface is easy to navigate and laid out to locate all options. My fibre line is still settling, but i am consistantly getting 375-400 up to 500mb. My original ADSL/VDSL router was a Nighthawk and also very efficient, I do love Netgear products and the Nighthawk is a wonderful additional to the network and performing flawlessly.

Strong signal and good interface but rubbish in use
Got this to replace Vodafone hub as we have a large amount of devices connected as do most houses now with multiple IOT devices. Signal is great and setting up was easy with no issues found on older IOT devices trying to connect to the WiFi. Problem is that it fails in day to day use WiFi wise. I got it as it had WiFi 6 but in the end had to disable it along with the ofdma modes. On 6 the computer experienced multiple timeouts and huge ping times. I used a draytek 130 as a modem but found the sync rate is slower that the Vodafone hub. Initially it was half the speed (10meg) but this was down the the vigour having an old firmware version. Updated it and connection was faster and more stable although still not what it was originally (17meg instead of 25meg) computers and phones have trouble sometimes with the WiFi not responding so that when you open a webpage or an app it just hangs or reports not connected. I have a net gear signal repeater connected via WiFi to the router to boost the signal to the garden for a ipcam (not hardwired just uses the 5ghz for backhaul) and this is set to combined ssd like the main router. If you connect to this with the phone or laptop you have no timeout issues or anything like that which is strange as the ax6 is still handling everything. Some of the built in monitoring features are fair to middling and the big seller of phone app control provides very little control over settings. All in all very very disappointed with the amount of money I wasted on this as most features have been turned off as per the forum advice to try and improve performance

Great router
Purchased for our new home, but due to temporary living arrangements, it was required to be used early. The virgin media hub was not able to send a strong enough signal to where I work from. I set the RS6000 Nighthawk up to increase the range. It has worked brilliantly. Before, I was dropping out of teams calls, losing connection and not able to buffer simple instagram videos and now this all works lightning fast. Updating my Xbox series X games over WiFi and I was getting around 150Mbps which isn’t bad, considering before I couldn’t watch an instagram reel.Setup was easy (Nighthawk doesn’t support coax) so to utilise this with Virgin Media, you first need to switch the hub into modem mode and then link via Ethernet from port 1 on the Virgin Media hub to the internet port in the Nighthawk. You can the setup the router via the app which takes about 20-30 mins with firmware updates. The router is expensive but when you rely on connectivity to work, it pretty much pays for itself. All in all, a fantastic router which has plenty to offer in configuration and allows you to get the best out of the fibre you purchase from your ISP. It also looks like a beast!

Fix my virgin superhub 4 issues
Brought this product AX8 RAX70 to address my bad Wi-Fi, LAN and jitter issues with my virgin superhub 4. Highest test speed I got right next to the virgin router was 500Mbps at best on my iPhone. Running in modem mode and letting this take care of the routing now getting 800Mbps on Wi-Fi at last finally getting the speeds I pay virgin for and not having to reboot everyday as it was killing my Skype / teams meetings due to jitter. Even in the bedrooms I’m now getting 600-700mbps with my iPhone 11.Had a quick look at the subscription features ok but the parental guard has limits and you have to pay to unlock premium features but the basic stuff is fine for what I need.Downloaded the app and the set up was really easy, was up and running in minutes, spent more time getting virgin hub to run in modem mode. Once configured you have to leave the super hub off for 5-10 so the MAC address cache clears from virgin side (virgin don’t tell you this) and also don’t connect RAX70 to the hub.The app is fine for your basic everyday needs but your need to go into the web interface to do the final config parts like having all the bandwidths as one SSID or separate them.Overall impressed with it so far fix my terrible issues with virgin which I thought going to have to leave virgin.
