SO excited they still make "How To Draw" books, used them when I was a kid & am so excited to be able to get some for my kids now, especially with the current cartoons out there. I think that showing kids how to "build" a cartoon is so much less defeating than just expecting them to just look at it & draw it. These books helped me so much when I was growing up & I can tell they are already helping my kids get the hang of drawing w/out too much frustration. Sometimes I'll even sit down & draw with them from the books, such an amazing way for me to bond with them. Great learning tool! Photos posted are one I did & one my 6 year old son did (he drew it kinda fast, but it's still pretty good for a beginner).

My 6-year-old daughter loves this book, especially after having recently traveled to Disneyland. The book provides instructions for drawing the classic Disney characters, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, in a various poses and expressions. This is simple enough for kids to start to learn techniques, but also instructive enough for adults to learn as well.

Our little one is 6 years old and is pretty good at drawing. He enjoys Animation Academy when we go to California Adventure. I thought he would love this book but it is a little too hard for him. The drawings are pretty complex. I have to admit I was an art major in college and some of the drawings are challenging. Maybe he will enjoy when he is a little older. For now we will stick with the Richard Scary drawing books he seems to enjoy.

Great book for my kids to leaen to draw classic Mickey and friends!!

This Mickey Mouse book is much nicer than another that I have seen in that it has a line up chart to see each character next to one another for height comparison. It also has more facial expressions and attitude notes throughout. It arrived from Hippo Books 12 days early and was in pristine condition. Thank you Hippo Books :)

I've enjoyed playing with the instructions as presented in this book. Drawing is not one of my skills, but I have been able to make decent sketches of Mickey Mouse using these guidelines. For me, it does what I need it to do. For others who may have more drawing skill, I expect it might be somewhat simplistic, but it is possible that the suggestions on relative size of this to that part of the character would still be of use.I'm using this as an adult, but I'm sure youngsters would find it quite amusing as they try to draw Mickey or Minnie and the other characters.The binding is a bit stiff, and to lie it flat would probably break the spine. I've carefully held it open with clothes pegs when necessary.A fun little book, and worth the price especially if on sale.

This book means i can be free to design my own Mickey Mouse and Minnie's as my granddaughter demands! And a great service. I didnt expect this book until next month and its arrived in just a week. Best £3.41 I ever spent.The instructions are very clear and easy, this is a book a child can use. I was copying from existing drawings, but it was never quite right. This book has shown me where i was going wrong just like that (*snap*)! Mickey's face is slightly below the center line! Got it! A book for every mum and grandma, class and kindergarten. Je suis toujours aussi étonné de cette série 'Learn to Draw' édité par Walter Foster Publication, ces livres sont simples, intuitifs, agréables, et le rapport qualité/prix est franchement intéressant. On vous explique tout d'abord la différence de taille entre tous les personnages, et ensuite, on vous explique comment dessiner Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Daisy, Dingo, et Donald, à chaque fois, la tête de face, puis le corps entier. Ma compagne, qui n'est pas une grande dessinatrice, m'a sorti un Mickey joliement réalisé avec cette méthode. C'est un super investissement pour tout passionné de l'univers de Disney et/ou de dessin.N'ayez pas peur qu'il s'agisse d'un livre anglophone, seuls les introductions et conclusions sur l'histoire de Mickey vous demanderons un peu de gymnastique.Merci à Amazon d'être un des seuls à proposer cette fantastique série sur l'univers de Disney en France.
