Hudson Exchange Reusable Easy Peel Lid for 3.5, 5, 6, and 7 gal Buckets, HPDE, White, 120 Pack

Several reviews say this lid does not fit the Hudson 5-gallon buckets, even though both are from the same company. Wimps! It does fit if you have strong wrists. You have to wrestle it on the first time. Once it's on the bucket it sorta conforms to it and it's easier to take on and off from then on. At that point, it's also a bit easier to remove the lid compared to most 5-gallon lids, which sometimes requires a plastic remover tool. This lid is a thinner, more flexible plastic which is relatively pliable compared to the hard plastic of most lids.If you ask me though, all these lids for 5-gallon buckets are way overpriced. I am giving this lid 4 stars due to the misconception it has created, and because it actually has less plastic than regular lids. In addition, shipping is really slow. I order these with the Hudson buckets and the lids come a week after the buckets, which is really annoying.UPDATE on Dec. 2019: I ran out of buckets and bought one from Lowes with a cover and the Lowes cover (Made in the USA) is terrible compared to this one. For one thing, the Lowes cover is flimsy gauge plastic and doesn't fit as tightly as this one. It lacks the reinforcing ribs around the periphery that helps to stiffen the lip and hold it in place. Amazon was selling 'used' Hudson covers with broken packaging (12 for around $2.00 each) so I bought that and am good for covers from now on. The covers look brand new to me! Covers say 'Letica Corp. Rochester ML'.

I bought twelve food safe 5 gallon buckets at Wal Mart. Then I ordered these lids to go with them. Together I spent $4 on each bucket/lid set. Lids seal perfectly to the bucket and stick tight. I'm very happy with the price and the product.

I purchased these lids because they said they fit the 5 gallon bucket I had purchased. I cannot get them to snap completely down on the bucket so I can't give them any more than 3 stars. They are made well and certainly durable but they didn't fit the 5 gallon bucket.

Doesn’t work with a 5-gallon bucket from a different amazon vendor. Lid is smaller than the bucket.

The lid did not fit the 5 gallon bucket that I ordered with it. Advertising stated that the lid would fit, however. ....

This lid is comfortable to use, makes a good seal, and feels like it will last for an extended period of time. Other lids tend to feel more brittle and will snap inevitably. This one has abit more flex to it which should help with longevity.Only complaint is the price. Seems a tad pricey for just a lid.

No seal in the rim, and just slightly small (narrow) for a standard 5 gal bucket.

So far, so good! It's on an HD bucket I'm using for vermicompost, and it keeps the harshness of the seasons out, so far. It's easy to get on and stays snug, and has a lip on one side that makes it easy to pull off. We're happy with it, it is the right size!

Just comes with one if anyone wants to know. It is good fit for my 5 gal bucket.
