Very good midrange horn speakers for the money.
I added these midrange horns to my three way high powered main speaker system and have been very pleased with them. I have them crossed over at 1250hz on the low end and 5k on the high end at 12db/octave slope. They sound very smooth and loud but not harsh like some horn speakers can be. I did modify the plastic horns by spraying the back side of them with two coats of a rubberized under coating. This did help with the resonance that a plastic horn can emit at certain frequencies. I also had to attenuate them about 9db using high quality audio resistors to make a fixed L-pad bringing them down to 100db which is the db rating of my B&C 12" woofers. My horn tweeters have a variable attenuation control. The dispersion angle of 60 degrees is decent with vocals sounding natural and accurate. For the money, I do not think you can find a better horn midrange. My main speaker system sounds awesome now with these new PRV horns and a powered 600 watt subwoofer...it rocks my world!

OK product - not titanium, not a good choice for PA
I read many proud reviews about this therefore take chance to buy it to try out. I A/B this PRV driver & using the same horn from JBL cab with the drivers form JBL 2408-H2, Selenium D220Ti, RCF ND2530 and also recorded (both speech and music playback) before & after, and here are my review:- It does not provide any louder than the one I replace Selenium D220Ti & JBL 2408-H2, or RCF. It missing the extended HF, therefore it sounds not open nor airy when using as PA. The missing of HF creates a feeling of stronger mid-range . 50% because of the horn contribute to it too. Over all, it is still a very excellent drive for music play back. It is also a very good upgrade HF if one looking for the warmer & mellow tone, and perfect for Jazz, Classical.

Excellent quality
If your primary goal is to project high frequency far away, in a public address speaker, this may not be an ideal drive for you, look for something similar, but with titanium diaphragm. They also bit picky about size and shape of the horn. I have them in 3-way MidField Monitors, with the horn properly matched and crossed at 4.5 kHz, and they sound cleaner and more natural than Italian tweeters costing 5 times more.

Audiofile quality
Top of the line for a mid price. Using for PA, but would like to buy another pair for powerful home theater experience too. You cannot go wrong, no matter how much of a perfectionist you are. If you can't make this work, it's on you, believe me.

A High Performance Audio Driver
I purchased this driver a few weeks ago after reading good things about it on the net. I bought them as an upgrade to the Selenium D220Ti, which I liked an awful lot. But I must say, this driver is in another league altogether. It requires no equalization, and it's recreation of air, space and detail of the original recording venue is simply astounding. It never gets harsh or strident at all, always smooth. Takes a couple of weeks to smooth out, so don't judge them right out of the box. Highly recommended!
