PAC AOEM-CHR3 System Interface Kit to Add or Replace An Amplifier in Select 2007-up Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep Vehicles with an Infinity System,BLACK

I have a 2008 Jeep Commander with the base stereo unit. When I was planning out my system I did not want to cut the factory wiring harness to the radio or loose my backup sensor audible notification. Also my radio unit is a 1.5 din making finding another head unit that is a drop in next to impossible without significant modification to the radio cavity. I was not going for the custom install. I just wanted to rock a little louder. This unit will allow you to add another one or two amps to your system without cutting into the factory wiring harness. Currently I have the unit Zip tied to the support bar above the radio. Running my subwoofer off the rear ch RCA to a mono amp and the frnt RCA to a four ch amp that runs the front stage. This is a great box that simplifies the process and allows you to return everything back to stock when you sell the car. Simple plug and play.

So far so good. Just got this harness and I couldn't wait to see if it fit. It fit perfectly in my 2016 JK with 430 radio.No alpine or sub. Directions are clear and you can only hook it up one way. It's idiot proof !!! Hardest part was finding a spot to hide it behind radio. It will not fit right behind radio. There is a little space just to right of radio u can squeeze the rca outs through and down towards the glove box. Harness box fits in that area in nicely. I still have all steering controls etc. should be good to go. Going to install powered sub and 4 channel amp this weekend. Plan on taking the outputs of new amp and splicing in to this speaker harnesses speaker lines like Jerry above. Although I'm somewhat confused about that. But harness works great !!!I'm revising my review 4 due to the fact after I had it all hooked up, only 3 of the 4 RCA outputs worked.... for the life of me I couldn't figure it out. Checked all the wiring, amp wiring, speaker etc.... nothing, finally troubl shot it down to the PAC RCA outputs, one of the fronts was out. Luckily I had another LOC on hand as I wasn't quite sure what I needed for this project. I spliced right into the speaker wires of this PAC harness with the other LOC, and alass I have 4 channels now....4 because its a perfect fit for wrangler and no splicing of factory harnesses...but I had to wire everything up twice due to only 3 of 4 channels working. I got a 4 channel amp, and a power sub running now..... sounds sweet

2017 Rubicon Recon JKU. This taps into the radio harness behind the head unit, and works great for installing a subwoofer. No one else mentioned it in the reviews, but this CAN be used with another harness interface/tap. I installed one for a backup camera, and then this connects into that for the subwoofer. No problems with either one.Others have noted the lack of room back there. While it is tight, it is do-able, and I have two of them back there. I also recommend styrofoam or polyfill near the heater ducts, if you're mounting the box anywhere near them (one of my control boxes is basically on top of the ducts behind the window switches, and those ducts get pretty hot). Installation is easy, and I do recommend this.

Adding aftermarket amp or replacing stock amplifier for adding speakers this thing is great.

The product was difficult to install due to the limited spaced behind the 2007 Jeep Wrangler head unit. Once the product was installed there was static created from the PAC unit. PAC 'add and amp' is known for this which would have been nice to know before purchasing the unit. The support help from PAC was worthless and they did nothing to stand by their product. I ended up buying a new head unit and threw away the PAC adapter.

This is a great unit at a good price point. I have a 2016 Wrangler with the base sound system I and wanted to add an amp and some new speakers.The newer Jeeps use a new system, so I was not sure if this was going to work.Well, after using it for a few months now, it works perfectly and I am very happy with it.The sound is great and crystal clear and was not difficult to install. I found a place to mount it right below the head unit and it fits great.

I never did get to use it

The interface works perfectly with my stock radio and amplifier. Loved the fact that it had a built-in remote power wire to turn on the amp when turning the key. It works great in my 2016 Jeep Wrangler JK Sport with the stock 130 radio. Very happy with the purchase.
