Some small gripes, but it does work as a functional shell replacement
This product came with all the required pieces, and they all fit together and look all right, but I was slightly annoyed by the sizing of the pieces. I wanted to replace the top and bottom shell parts and re-use the rest of the buttons from my busted controller, but the size of the cutouts/slots in the shell are ever-so-slightly different, such that the OEM parts from Microsoft will not fit seamlessly in it. For example, the start/select buttons don't fit all the way in, the top RB/LB guard piece leaves gaps with the OEM RB/LB buttons, and the OEM RB/LB buttons leave gaps with the top and bottom shell when you try to reuse them in the new case. Also, the OEM clear acrylic sleeve for the guide button LED does not fit in the central hole in this shell, which is a shame because the sleeve that is shipped with the kit doesn't have the little black strips built into it. The end result is that when the controller number indicator LED is lit, the light sort of disperses all the way around the ring rather than being cleanly limited to one quadrant of the ring. All in all, these are fairly small gripes, and I just ended up using all the new shell parts with the old circuit board and triggers. If you just need to replace a cracked/broken shell, this kit will do it for not a lot of money.

Great replacement, install hints included
Just had to replace my old 2005 360 with a newer model slim, had two extra controllers that were antique and trashy looking. What to do, what to do...These shells are perfect. The only way I can tell the difference is the recharge and headset jacks are gray On my old controllers, tge top plate says Xbox 360 and the x box home button is brushed aluminum instead of chromed besides those small details you can’t tell the difference between an oem shell and these replacements. The only buttons transplanted from the original were the clear ring and Xbox home button as theirs are plain green for obvious trademark reasons.I’d suggest getting rubbing alcohol and q-tips and watch a video on youtube on cleaning, while it’s apart, it’s dumb not to. One of my controllers had thumbstick drift and I can’t tell which one did as a good cleaning have them working like new.Okay after reading several reviews, saw and corrected things people had issues with. The sync button, it’s a hair too long and either bends when you assemble it or binds up repeatedly pressing the internal sync button. I used nail clippers to shave the tiniest amount possible off the part inside that hits the internal sync button. Works perfect. There’s a post inside the top that the button will mount on, a drop of superglue keeps it in place. Let it thoroughly dry before assembly, the fumes might hurt the interior but it’s a 5 minute wait tops.I saw people saying you could use the actual Xbox home button, but not the clear ring that portions out the led for controller 1,2,3 or 4. Using the clear ring that comes with the kit, the lights aren’t neatly divided, The Whole ring glows with the brightest point being in the area around its corresponding number, it works but not as clean as the factory version. The oem clear ring works, it’s just tricky to get in. The replacement just effortlessly slides in and out, the Oem is tight. The trick is put the Xbox home button into your original ring, line it up so it goes into the socket with the exterior X on top, and press til you feel it click into place. If you feel the ring on the front it will be flush with the controller surface when locked in. this gives back the clean portioned lights in the numbered area of the controller. When you reassemble, start all the screws but don’t tighten them til they’re all started. Tighten one side up and the other side or even the middle probably won’t line up.All in all this is a great bargain, for the price even the trashiest controller can look factory fresh. the only way it could be better is if it included the torx needed to open the cases up. but understandable for the price. I ordered a side kit with 4 thumb sticks and the torx wrench needed to open the cases just to replace the sticks on the newest controller. It’s in great shape but I got it used and the sticks were worn down. Plus the thumbstick kit was cheaper than just ordering the wrench and now I have a brand new set of thumb sticks set aside for later.

Overall great, small detail issues
Overall great kit, comes with pretty much everything you'd need. I did knock one star off because there are a lot of mold lines and flash from the injection molding.

Components are cheap, break with even the slightest pressure ...
Components are cheap, break with even the slightest pressure, and are not the same shape as regular controller case parts, so cannot be used to replace individual parts.

Low quality waste
I was super hyped when this arrived. But when I started work with it I found that the tolerances on all the parts are almost non-existent so everything fits too loose or too tight, it's missing two screws for the dpad, the home button doesn't match the picture or the real one, the ABXY buttons are too short and don't fit correctly, and one part even arrived broken! This is the sort of quality I expect from a two dollers eBay kit that takes two months to ship. Absolutely a waste of time! Don't waste your time here, buy something higher quality.
