Has worked flawlessly for almost 3 years
I am a teacher and I have a speaker with a built in mixer. I use a Shure SM58 mic with this system to amplify my voice in my computer lab. I use it every day and it has been a life saver. Charging works great, sound qualities excellent, gets perfect range in my large lab. I've been very happy. Recently though it cuts in and out, not sure why. Not sure if it's a setting gone wrong or the channel changing on its own as some report. Should I expect this to last more than 3 years? I'd love to keep this going, but of it's to e for a new one, I may move to a lavalier mic system as having hands free has become important too

Pretty cool
So I tried it for the first time on Dec 02 for my 10" JBL power speakers. Very easy to install and use. The only issue I had (it wasn't major) I had to have the volume on the back of my JBL higher than I usually do. So I like my speaker levels half way and then I control volume from my mixing board. In this case I had to have the level on the speaker on the 3 o'clock level. That being said the sound still was fine. Maybe I could of tried a different channel on the device? I'll try that next time and if the level is better I'll update my review. But it's still worth buying if you need a speaker a few feet away from you. I had it about 20ft away. You can also leave it charging while in use.

It’s okay, can get the same quality for cheaper price.
Working alright, i do get some signal interference with others wireless. And battery not long enough, you can find same quality for better price on market.

Audio engineer's perspective
I'm a career audio engineer. I picked this up to help measure timing in sound systems. Not having to run a huge mic cable all over the venue would be amazing. I've seen a couple of my peers using them. I'm told there is no companding in these units as digital transmitters, and thus is accurate for timing where most conventional analog RF are not. I've found no documentation on these that discusses it though. The standard tool for this is about $2k.The Smaart trace is pictured. The self-latency consistently measured 4.38 ms. The straight red line at -4 in the transfer function is a cable, pink noise output to input. The green line is through the XVIVE. For the money I was pleasantly surprised to find it nearly flat +-1.5 db through most of the spectrum. There's a gentle roll-off starting about 7k. A touch of hi shelf EQ will likely to be helpful for transmitting voice/music.Bottom line I won't be using it for super clinical tonal tuning decisions, but that's not what I'm after anyway, just timing measurements. Used it just once so far, to approx 110ft, no issues.Comes with a clever dual micro-usb cable for recharging. And it's super nice that it's such a common phone charge port. Really happy so far.
