Yes, it is a recipe book. But, it is much more. This book gives history and background of many of the drinks. There are many variations listed under the various drinks, each falling under a line from a Jimmy Buffett song. We had a great time with the recipes on a summer beach vacation.

Bought this for a Parrothead friend for his birthday! Perfect gift for any Buffett fan. Loved the drink recipes as well as the stories and links to Jimmy Buffett songs. Will probably get one for me!

so many great drinks in this book... I particularly love the frenzy. My husband and I love Jimmy Buffet and we love making boat drinks while listening to him and hanging out. I do recommend buying or having a jigger on hand because all the drinks need it for measuring

This is a fun book, the actually Boat Drink (basically a Rum tonic) is great but lots of other good drinks. Some decent history.
