Brilliant - works nicely
I had problems start to develop with my onboard LAN socket. It was intermittently dropping connection randomly. Very frustrating! Got this and it just works. It's plug & play with a Realtek LAN port. The USB ports are a bonus, but as the manufacturer states, don't use items that require a lot of heavy data movements. However, they do work for reasonable actions. Highly recommended.

Mine works fine.
I bought this because the last RJ45/USB hub I bought for my Firestick lite had 2 of the 3 USB ports dead (Annoyingly, when I first connected it up I happened to hit the 1 in 3 chance of plugging my mini keyboard dongle into the only working USB port and didn't realise the other two were DOA until WAY outside of the return period). Anyway, because of this I've thoroughly tested this one on my Firestick and everything seems stable enough at present. If anyone else want's to use one of these with a firestick, you'll also need an OTG (On The Go) cable to provide the stick and hub/network adapter with power.

Well made and very useful...
I initially purchased this so I could directly attach my faulty Nas to my Lenovo laptop, which doesn't have a lan connector, but I wasn't able to rescue my data. Nothing to do with this device, but it was a long shot. I have fast enough WiFi on the laptop, so I only use this as a usb hub, a job it does very well. Initially I was very surprised to find how small the device is, which is a bonus to me, but the best thing is that it doesn't have a bright led lit, which is always a turn off for me. It's a no nonsense hub, with no LEDs, no switches and a sensible, short lead so you know it's close to your machine. Think I'll use some double sided tape to fix it.

Runs warm but works well. Just plug and play
The USB slots are useful to save wear on computer ports. The device connects easily with no software necessary. Device runs warm but I haven't had any issues with it and it's on for many hours at a time. Very useful if like my computer the network port is broken. No drop in speed noticed.

Good.
When you buy things off Amazon that are this cheap, you know you are taking a 50/50 gamble with if they even work at all. But, so far at least, not only does this do exactly what it's supposed to, but it does it well, feels almost rugged, and even looks a bit cool too. It can get a little warm with heavy and continuous us, but nowhere near warm enough to worry about. So definitely recommended.

gets hot and does not keep ethernet cable connection, disappointed
I had high expectations.Disappointed.it gets very hot.. which can be worrying, for when using the usb ports. It disconnects the ethernet cable - for which I bought it for - and goes to wifi.I bought it to stay on the ethernet cable, but it doesn't stay for long, only a few minutes.I think I will return it, and hopefully find one that actually keeps the connection.pity.
