This does exactly what you expect, allows 3 different size dowel holes to be drilled accurately. Just don't use the bits that come with it (not unexpected). All were bent slightly and made holes larger than they should have. Junk them and use proper ones.

Product arrived with out instructions. I requested instructions and was offered a £2 refund as it would cost me a lot to post back to China. Second time I have had useless goods from China. Lesson learnt no more purchases from China. Had to give one star would like to have given no stars.

Never used one before, so tried it out today and was surprised how easy it was to join to pieces of wood together.

I needed to find a easy to use dowel jig. the one i had used in the past was a little fiddly and had not produced a decent result. I did a little YouTube watching and found this jig being demonstrated, it's simplicity of use seemed appealing.Well I was pleasantly surprised that it worked and created accurate joints with little effort.However this was only made possible when I ditched the supplied drills in favour of some quality bits

This is quite a handy and easy to use tool for dowelling. I became quite good with it soon and I would recommend.Solidly made and and sturdy.

The largest drill bit size has a considerably thinner sleeve than the other sizes. I drilled a few holes in a row, and the metal sleeve quick heated up and melted the plastic supporting the sleeve! Watch out for overheating!I think one option is to first drill a smaller hole, then do a larger one to avoid over using the larger bit.

The shaft of the drill was not only mangled by the collet but was blunt before it had drilled a dozen holes. The jig worked better than I expected but I am not sure about its longevity, the collet dug into the plastic rather than rest on top of the metal bearing.

This tool jig is brilliant for D I Y.Easy to set up and use and special screws for assembly use a square drill bit so no slipping. I love it.
