As I can not get in touch with seller through amazon , I will say it on here , the red light should only come on when leisure battery is charging , but it as now been on for 4 days, I'm worried it will flatten my engine battery.UPDATE in bed for 8 days I'll, and the battery on my brand new van is dead red light still on , on the split charge unit and never turned itself off,I have now disconnected the split charge and will replace it with a different make.£65.88 wasted, on a faulty product.Update 2 the leisure battery is also flat but completely, no load on either battery for the 8 days. Luckily I think I am managing to recover the van battery.

The unit comes with a black and yellow cable and on the wiring diagram there is only one cable present leaving you unsure as to which is the neutral. I'm not risking installing this.UPDATE: After googling I found the yellow wire is so you can charge your engine battery from your leisure battery, I installed the unit without using the yellow wire and it is working perfectly.Just a shame the kit comes with no instructions and the wiring diagram is so bad.But you can use the unit, just ignore the yellow wire. Changed from 1* to 3*

Very bare bones kit that did not contain parts needed to complete installation. If you are looking fora split charge kit for a camper van conversion then I would look at some of the other options thst are very slightly more expensive.In the end I returned this and purchased a kit that cam with attachments, better cables, additional wire headers and even a drill bit and extensive instructions for only a few pounds more. Was definitely the right decision and I would not recommend this kit.

I got this to add to my Van to help with lights and sound.Some things could be improved.1st, no instructions came with it. I used some instructions from the Internet from a different company.2nd, the supplied cables have loops to attach to the supplied battery clamps. The pins on the clamps are too big for the cables. So i had to drill out the cable loops to fit...3rd, the supplied clamps for the battery are very large so I had to add some conductive metal into the clap to help it fit.4th, it took 3 months to get to me. I needed the part for an event that has been and gone.Its all set up now and time will tell if the device is up for the job. At this time is all looking good.
