BN24V1 THRU BOLT .75HP 115V (SS)

The magic number is 48Y
I have an indoor hot tub and the tub is sitting in a warm environment where the pump is rarely used. In spite of this, the old motor burned out relatively early and the identical replacement if you can find it is over $300. I did check the run capacitor but the windings in the old motor were shorted and burned up.I bought this motor knowing it was the same horsepower rating and a NEMA 48Y frame. The motor arrived well packed and it arrived earlier than the promised shipping date. It was a simple matter to disconnect the wiring harness from the old motor and connect it to this one. Four wires, white, black, green, and the extra housing ground. The pump housing from the old motor was still good so I tapped the four mounting points to 8-32 and attached the housing to the motor's through bolts. This motor is quiet and it ran the better part of the day bringing the water up to 100 degrees. So far, I am delighted with this replacement motor. For those following me who want information on the tap, I used a #29 drill and a 8-32 tap on the pump body.
