Don't Be Fooled
Sure this is a quality product. BUT. If you are installing on a classic Bronco it is a pain in the ass. First, the hitch is going to arrive at your house in a destroyed box, missing the mounting hardware. You will have to contact Reese customer service and request a replacement hardware package. The hardware package will arrive a week later but missing the special pull wire that IS REQUIRED on the Bronco. I had to invent my own using a wire coat hanger and 20# fishing line. Second, you will need to drill all six holes in your frame, so expect to purchase a 1/2" drill bit for at least $20 for a good one. Third, don't think you are going to get this done in an afternoon, or even a couple of evenings. To install on a classic Bronco, you are going to need lots of patients and time, but it IS doable. It does totally fit perfectly with the stock bumper in place. I would say that between the time and expertise required to do this installation, I would independently charge at least $200 to do the job. Bottom line is that this hitch is required for anything heavier than what the stock bumper will handle.

Reese 36025 hitch - thumbs up!
I have a towing job for this weekend and my old trailer hitch was badly rusted, so I ordered this one to replace it in order to be safe. I started the install around 745 PM last night and was finished by 930. The main reason it took so long is none of the holes in the hitch matched with the holes in my frame from the previous hitch, so I had to drill 6 new holes in the frame. Normally this would take all night, but I had a brainstorm and came up with my "homemade redneck upside-down drill press" that made drilling easy. So actually, the majority of the installation time was spent BSing with some of the guys who were working.I have absolutely no complaints about this hitch, it came with everything needed for installation on multiple makes and models of truck, and the fit & finish are outstanding. Drilling is pretty much a given when installing anything not custom-made for a specific application, so I'm not deducting any stars over that. The Reese name has a great reputation, so I'm not worried about having any problems while towing. The receiver hugs the underside of the bumper, so ground clearance won't be an issue - my 2WD '91 F350 sits at a moderate height so you don't have to lift things to chest height to put them in the bed like you do with modern trucks, so ground clearance can be an issue sometimes. All in all, I'd recommend this hitch for its reasonable price and the company's reputation.

Nice hitch for f150
Nice hitch. Was missing hardware, but called Reese. They sent the hardware to me no hassle. Requires drilling

I eventually figured it out but it would have still been nice to have instructions
I bought this hitch for my 1995 extended cab short bed f150 because according to Reese's website it would fit. It does fit and work well but only with some modification on my truck. The 2 holes closest to the bumper were off by about a 1/4" so i had to drill hole next to the original holes to bolt to. The other 4 holes fit perfectly. Another issue I had was that it came with a box of nuts and bolts with no instructions. I eventually figured it out but it would have still been nice to have instructions.

Poor quality product, or possible defect from manufacturer
Absolutely awful! The box it shipped in came all ripped apart, and paint was scratched off of the hitch already. Opened the box the rest of the way, and the plastic bag with the mounting hardware was also ripped open and missing a nut, bolt, and a few washers. Then, when I go to install the hitch, it doesn't line up with the proper mounting spot on the frame of my vehicle. It's almost as if where the hitch is supposed to mount got bent slightly outward somehow, because it's about a half inch too wide to mount where you're supposed to line it up with preexisting rivets on the vehicle. Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed off about the whole thing!

Good solid hitch.
The Reese hitch is made better than the on that it's going to replace. Origenal is a different brand. It lasted 25 yrs.Hitch rusted badley no longer safe to use. The box tubing is biger on the Reese. When you use a hitch like thisit stiffens the chassis and rides a little firmer. The mounting hardware is very good. A heavy duty truck needs a heavy duty hitch.

Perfect fit for my 95 F150 XLT
Perfect fit for my 95 F150 XLT regular cab. I installed this in a couple of hours with 3 buddies over to assit. Did not need that many but they were over and I need to put it on. I bought it 4 months ago but finaly had to put it on and it was very easy for three guys that don't know how to use tools with one guy that knows a little. The fit is exact. I love it.
