Many years ago, I had a home indoor garden. Then I had kids. These do not mix. Now, I have to keep a kaffir lime tree alive in my garage through freezing winters in the Mojave desert because my wife cooks with the leaves. This is a well-built light that gives plants the spectrum they would enjoy naturally in late summer, causing them to form flowers. It is not the ideal spectrum for starting seeds or clones. The most important issue is coverage. The light with reflector is roughly 12 inches and the grow zone is 12 to 24 inches below it, so it is perfect for one kaffir lime with a canopy about 3 feet in diameter. If I remember my math, this is about 1000 square inches, seven square feet. if you had an 8 by 2 workbench with smaller plants, like no taller than 12 inches, you'd need two of these. Back in the day, your choices were 1000 watt metal halides or fluorescent fixtures with 8 solar spectrum 40 watt tubes, so this is much easier. I might get another for basil, cilantro and chiles.

Great product, I just couldn’t get my set up right. Definitely recommended. But I was unfortunately unable to grow where I was. Very good quality, just waiting on my refund. Takes awhile. But next time I need light systems I’ll be buying it from them. 🤙🏽

I'm probably not using this for it's intended purpose. I bought it to put in my aquarium cabinet above my refugium to grow macro algae. It's like having the sun in my living room! I was using a regular CFL bulb and my plants would never grow. I added this light on 9/16 and I've already had to pull out a huge (beach ball sized) clump of chaeto because it was starting to overflow the tank with new growth. It's amazing watching it grow every day.
