Bought it for the compact design/cardio aspect, returned it.
I was skeptical with there being no reviews and having been burned by China in the past, but i felt confident since it was fulfilled through Amazon.Only just got it today and did a few rows on it to see what it's like. Already there are some cons and pros. I'll start with the cons.CONS: 1) The opposite end was coated in some etched paint that was flaking off like crazy probably from being in the warehouse so long. I will just sand it and leave it or spray paint it to match.2) Video claims 16 levels of resistance, there are 6.3) probably what makes me want to return it is the feature i thought i would enjoy most. The double rails. While i feel supported and not wobbly like on traditional row machines with the central beam, the rails of the seat interfere with the movement of extending the legs. With the feet being basically on the floor, as the legs extend, my calves are running into the end of the seat rails causing me to keep my legs closer together to avoid. Having a belly makes this difficult but actually adds an extra inner thigh workout from forcing my legs closer together to avoid the rails so it's not all bad. :DNow the PROS/redeming qualities:1) I LOVE the space saving design! Living in a one bedroom apartment means i cant have a traditional fan or water row machine as it's bulky even in its collapsed form. This just stands right up and i fold it down to get to work where it is.2) The display is well lit and none of that grayscale LCD hard to read. Numbers are bright and easy to read.3) Foot loops! I was nervous from the video it just showed her placing her feet on the machine and was worried i would struggle to recover quick enough to get back into catch position. But there are footlops on the feet that stabilize it standing up so you can use your legs to recover instead of relying on the resistance since it is a little on the light side.4) soooo easy to assemble. I looked at the instructions once to make sure everything was accounted for and a general idea of what goes where. Assembled it in about 20 minutes by myself. Easier to assemble in its upright position and let gravity help you.5) i adhered clips to the display to fit my tablet to distract me since my hands are occupied and i cant just play my shark game like i did on bikes.6) DID I MENTION HOW COMPACT THIS IS?! Seriously. I love that i can just fold it up out of the way and its not in the way when not in use like a regular row machine would be, with their 5ft beams and 4ft boxfan in the way.Overall, the design is ⭐⭐⭐⭐ since its beams interfere with the movement intended and makes me anxious to use and be more conscious of my feet positioning.Ease of use ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Assembly ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Functionality movement and resistance ⭐⭐⭐⭐ since it was advertised 16 levels.I think for the space saving aspect alone, it was worth the $425. I bought it more for cardio as i was torn between a stationary bike and rower. I had used the bikes more frequently so i can multitask and play on my tablet but developed plantar fasciitis from them, and i liked the full body workout aspect of the rower and the versitility of positions and movements.Hope this helps!UPDATE*** had to return it. Flaking all over the floor, foot loops broke, no good way of keeping my feet in position to recover fast enough like a traditional rower. Had to go back since i couldn't justify the $500 for being reluctant to use it with all the design flaws...

Was really excited But....
I was really excited and looking forward to getting this new workout machine since I have nothing but time inside the house during this COVID - 19 pandemic. Unfortunately, this purchase ended up being a very disappointing. It took a lot of time to put together and during the frustrating process, I discovered several scratches on my new machine. The scratches I could live with but the final piece which are the rubber tubes to put over the handle bars don’t fit perfectly on the bars leaving me to grab onto a mushy piece of rubber. I really wanted to love this machine but it feels like I got a defected machine so now I have to disassemble it and send the heavy machinery back.

Terrible for everything
Okay. Im not the kind of person who leave reviews after purchasing, but i gotta do it this time. When I first received it, the chair couldn’t fit on the rail, so I couldn’t resemble it properly.(returned it) And now I received 2nd time, its paint job is awful. Like when I touch it the paint fall off and my hands and my floor got dirty. I didn’t realize it is made in China. It looks good, but don’t buy it, don’t even think that you can possibly get better one than what I got from them.

Winning space saving design/bad paint finish
Great space saving design with enough seat travel for a tall user (6’3” in my case). Folding mechanism is a bit clunky, but you’ll get the hang of it on the fourth try.Offers a good workout, but you have to keep your knees in tight, as the rails are spaced closely together.Foot straps are flimsy and I’ll be replacing them with some old cycling shoes that I’ll mount where the straps connect.Paint on the end of the rails (black paint over white injection molded plastic) flakes off at the lightest touch. Best guess is they didn’t prime the plastic or they used metal paint on a plastic surface. I wrapped the piece with black boxing (friction) tape; crisis averted and improved grip for doing ab crunches.Bottom line: you get what you pay for and there is a reason it’s only $400. If you are handy and don’t mind doing a few retrofits, it not a bad deal.

Peeling paint, limited range of motion, and the smell of burning rubber
I purchased this because everything else was sold-out. It arrived with black paint flaking off in the box. With the paint chipping, it looked like it was a 10-year-old rower before it was even set up. I reached out to IPO for replacement parts or a return, and they have not responded in the last two weeks.SETUP: Probably easy (normally), but difficult this time, because one of the screw-holes was not machined properly and required a drill and diamond bit to widen.IN USE: The range of motion is way too short for someone over 6ft. Legs don't fully extend. Handle grip is too close together, limiting arm movement. Not an ergonomic experience at all. After 5 minutes of use at Difficulty of 4 or higher, the machine has a strong smell of burning rubber.STORAGE: The rower would fold up nicely, but this one does not move well at the joint. It is very stiff and requires two people. One person has to hold the drum, while the other pulls the legs of the machine upward. The power cord is located on the back, which is the side that would best face the wall. So, you have to disconnect the power cord to not damage it during storage. Similarly, the wheels are on the wrong side of the drum. You'd want the wheels on same side as the legs, but you will have to spin the rower 180 degrees with the legs locked and in the upright position to move it properly.
