I WANTED to like this comic
I grew up with the show so I was excited to see Static Make it into the new52. I heard that the book was terrible, but my lack of judgement got the better of me and I ordered it anyway. Up until this book, I've loved everything I've read of the new52, but this is absolute crap. WORST WRITING on any book I've ever read. Nothing in the story makes sense and you can't follow any of it.I understand why DC cancelled this book, but it is a shame because I love the character.If you're like me and read reviews like this and think "eh, maybe they're overly critical, I'll check it out," please heed my warnings and don't waste money on this book.

It gets weird and messy.
They through is too much for a cold start. As someone who has read most of the milestone series and the Terror Titans, it just didn't seem to stand up. They seem to just throw in Hardware without proper setup or incorporation reminiscent of Samurai Pizza Cats' rescue squad. The action in the artwork is a bit jumbled and confusing. The entire relaunch was poorly executed.

Great comic series hope they continue it. There's is not enough black heroes. Please continue this, can't wait for more

Static is pretty cool
Static is one of my favorite superheros. This story is not too bad. Static is super smart and it shows, and I like that in a super hero. The new 52 version feel more generic-y than the Milestone version though. I really wish more of those comics would be release on TPB.

Shock
I was skeptical when they relaunched the DC franchises but for now I have been pleasantly surprised and i recommend anyone who likes teen-superheroes or just a fan of good comics to pick this one up, you wont be disappointed.I had high hopes for static but he didn't live up to the name.

Not what I expected
It's a good adaption of the tv show static shock but there r key elements in this comic that r different from the show. So it makes me wonder what I haven't read comic book wise of static. Overall solid book.

Amazing shame this is all there is
This book is amazing and personifies the character of static perfectly it is a shame that they never got further with is title as it seemed very promising with some old villans and many new ones and a lot of action you get to see how Virgil copes with having an internship going to school and being a superhero
