emotional
I love this book and especially how it deals with the anxiety that Marcie lives with and how Colton (Colonel Robinson) handles it.He has been a permanent background fixture in so many of these books (and popped up in the authors other series) that it makes it that more special when he finally gets his own story.I loved how they met and the misstep that meant they never really picked up from that promising start. The first part of this book is heart pumping and you find yourself tuning pages impatiently to see what happens whilst wanting to savour the way Colt handles Macie when she needs him the most.King held secrets come out and parts of this are heart breaking but the bond being built between the two is fantastic to read, as are the team interactions and Hellloooo new delta team over there….pleased to meet you.

Ok
I have loved other books by this author but for some reason, I didn't feel a connection with the characters in this story.

Another great book
As usual another great story. This time we meet Trucks sister Macie. We saw her at Trucks wedding where she was having a panic attack and the commander (Colt) soothed her through it. Macie hears something in her apartment and then she hears voices. Realising their are people there, she starts to feel the start of a panic attack. She manages to escape but they are on her trail. A phone call to truck and Colt sees her hide from the baddies as they race to save her. What we get is Colt protecting Macie from her ex. As the weeks go on and no sign of anyone is it all over? One of the deltas is down and Macie is nowhere to be seen.......can the commander and the Deltas get to Macie before it turns fatal? A great read from start to finish.

Really enjoyed it....
Loved it... amazing... another great story from Susan Stoker...The minute we meet Macie, it was action packed... Colt was as over the top alpha male as one would expect, and Trucks boss..Loved the other characters appearing and seeing how they are doing...Macie's previous love interest (if you could even call him that) had the negative impact on the love story.. it wasn't a greatly thought out part of the storyline but I am here for the romance :-) and friendships that Susan grows so beautifully....

Fantastic bonus book!
We all thought the Delta Force Heroes series was complete, so to get this extra book as a total treat!Having read Truck's book - we all know what a difficult childhood he and Macie had but to hear this from Macie's point of view adds to the previous book and story. We know just how good Colonel Robinson is and how well he looks after the men under his command - but to be able to get to know him as Colt too is the perfect finish to what has been an amazing series!Another beautifully written instalment from the amazing Susan Stoker - is this the final instalment or will Ms Stoker gift us with more?

Excellent read
First date story, explaining the philosophy of Delta soldiers, and their attitude to women. Also the investigation into the anxiety condition, one of which not much is known. Susan Stoner is not afraid to write about ' flawed hero's and heroines' .

Short & Sweet novella!
Really enjoyable novella featuring Colt and Macie that we got a glimpse of at the end of Truck and Mary's book. Colt, who is usually the stern commander of both Delta Force teams, lets his soft side show when he falls for Truck's sister Macie. Although this was only a short novella it was still well written, action packed and totally romantic! Loved it 💘
