Awesome but you need VERY steady hands to manage 10x magnification with a handheld binoc
These are awesome binoculars but unless you have unusually steady hands, you will have trouble holding them still enough to see well. The magnification is also so high that it's difficult to find what you're looking for (a bird in a tree) after you've first located it with the naked eye. But as for quality binoculars I have been extremely happy with Eagle Optics.Actually these 10x42 binocs were sent to me because of a vendor database error - I had ordered the 8x42 as a gift for my son (I already had the 8x42 myself) but this 10x42 was delivered instead. I couldn't resist checking them out, just in case I decided I could handle them, but I couldn't. The vendor handled the return very efficiently.

Great binoculars for birding
These binoculars are light-weight and powerful. I don't experience fatigue even after 3 - 4 hours of birding. They are easy to adjust. They also come with covers for the lenses and a neck band.I also ordered a harness to use instead of the neck band. The harness comes with a metal ring to attach to the binoculars. The binoculars also come a set of metal rings. However, the binocular instructions say to not use the metal ring to attach to a strap. I'm not sure how else to attach it, so I have attached the binoculars to the neck strap that comes with the binoculars, and then attached my harness to the neck band using the metal rings. However, now I have a lot of extra stuff hanging off them.

Everyone needs one of these
The best binoculars ever. Super bright images. Don't get 12 power the magnification is better but holding it still is almost impossible. These are not the lightest but their design is superior. Focus is a snap.

Eagle Optic Ranger
South Dakota Ornithology Union Member suggested the "Eagle Ranger" might meet my needs for wildbird identification. I think it does. Thanks

Good binoculars
I got these for a trip to Africa and they worked great. Really satisfied with these binoculars, increased the enjoyment of the safari by 10 fold!
