TenPointACUrope - Portable, Retractable Crossbow Cocking Device - Not Compatible with Ultra-Narrow or Reverse-Draw Crossbows

This rope cocker is universal and it works on virtually any bow. The best is that it retracts neatly and you can put it in the included pouch which has a belt clip. The only thing I don’t like about this rope cocker is that it’s holster has a loose belt clip. It’s cheaply made so I would be very careful when using the pouch. That has nothing to do with the rope cocker so I’m not taking any stars away for that since it would be unfair but I much rather carry this rope cocker in my pocket then around my neck like I had to before I found this. I am using it on the Barnett Recruit Terrain Crossbow and it works fine. One thing that bothers me a little is that the descriptions says this rope cocker makes cocking the rope 50% easier but I don’t see the difference between the regular cocker and this cocker. For that, I will take away 1 Star.Update: I've had this chocker for about a week now and it works 50% of the time. When I have my crossbow on fire and I use this cocker to pull back to safety it doesn't do that have of the time and I know it's not anything that I am doing with the cocker. It's hit or miss. I'm using it on a Barnett Terrain Recruit cb. When I use the original cocker it never fails but 50% of the time it works and 50% of the time the bow should be on safety but it does not pull it back far enough. It'll work sometimes and sometimes it won't work. I don't know if my device is defective or not so right now it stays at a 2 since it only works 50% of the time. I wished it worked all the time then I would react my feedback and give it a 5.Another update: I bought another one because maybe mine was broken. No. It's not broken because I even took it apart and tired a new knot on the inside like the instructions tell you to do if you have a cocking device that's shorter than this one. I made both my original cocking device and this device the same but the results are the same. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's not reliable if you have a cb that is not a "Ten Point." I'm using a Barnett Terrain Recruit and the acurope should work for my cb but it only works 50/50.I really cannot recommend this cocking device to anyone else but for people that have a 10 point cb. It's a real shame bc it had so much potential. If you have a 10 point cb then you're probably loving this cocker but for any other CB is probably hit or miss. I tried to like this thing because there's nothing else out there like this cocker but it doesn't work on my Barnett Terrain Recruit cb. I love my cb and I'm not willing to give it up yet so I won't be using this cocker as a primary but maybe a secondary at best. The pouch it came with is a joke. There's no way you'll be able to keep that thing on your belt. The clip is so loose i would not recommend anyone use it unless it's for storage at home. If you do use it and you're not careful, you will lose the cocker.I really wanted this to work with my Barnett CB and if there's anyone else out there that has a Barnett and is using this cocker please let me know what I'm doing wrong. I really like the retractable cord on this purchase as it keeps the cord well mannered as compared to other cords that can knot up. However, the belt clip is worthless and I never got to use it. On my very first hunt I clipped the pouch on my belt and walked out to the field and when I went to cock my crossbow, guess what, NO TenPoint ACURope Retractable Cord Crossbow Cocking Device was on my belt. For $60, the clip should be manufactured well enough to not loose the item the very first time it is used. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNTIL THE MANUFACTURER IMPROVES THE BELT CLIP. And if you really want it, first throw away $60, then decide if you want to spend another $60 to actually get the item because that's where I am know. Not sure if TenPoint will give me a free replacement but if they do, I definitely will throw the worthless pouch away.

I knew that I would have to use some type of rope cocker on my new crossbow. I considered the Acudraw 52 from TenPoint but was a little leary of having something else mounted on the stock of the crossbow. I went to our local BassPro shop just to get my hands on a Wicked Ridge crossbow that had the Acudraw 52 on it. Glad I did because if you didn't get the magnets lined up just right the handles would vibrate against the stock whenever you moved the crossbow and it made a lot of noise against that synthetic stock. Did some more research and found out that TenPoint offered the Acudraw rope cocker that you simply carry in a pouch on your belt. This is one nice tool to have. Makes consistent cocking of the crossbow a breeze, and that is usually where most folks have trouble with their accuracy, not getting the string pulled back evenly on both limbs. It still takes some effort to cock the crossbow but I couldn't even do it without the rope cocker. They say it reduces the amount of energy required by 50% and I would agree with that. Love the fact that the rope retracts into the handles when you are done so it packs back into the pouch or a pocket quite easily.

This thing works great, flawless execution and great design. My review is of the flimsy case. It is awful cheap fabric with a magnetic flap.You would think this would be great for easy access, but it is a great feature to lose these cocking ropes. First time using these, first day of hunting season, and within a few hours they were gone from the pouch. I got to use them once before they were gone due to the terribly cheap designed case. I have tones of TenPoint products and expected better from them. If you get this rope, I highly recommend putting it into a more secure case, something with an actual clasp that is not so flimsy.

I can't believe how easily my crossbow cocks with this device. I thought I would have a difficult time pulling 165lbs back, but with this device it's literally as easy as putting the hooks on the string and standing up.

Anyone shooting a crossbow that doesn't have a cranking device has to have this rope cocker. Great design all the way around! If you're using a standard rope cocker then you know how they tangle and take a minute to get straight even if you've been shooting for some time.The Acurope is compact and uses a much smaller diameter rope. It pulls much smoother and doesn't stress the serving like the basic rope cocker.Another great thing is it comes with a nice pouch with a belt loop. That way it's right on your side and easy to reach every time especially if you're making a second shot in the stand.

This item did not work on my reverse cam Horton crossbow without a sled. However, I was able to remove the hooks this item came with, and restring the sled my crossbow came with onto the retractor handles and now it works great.

Handles are way to small. No way to adjust the length.
