I was searching online for a reasonably priced vegan journal with a nice design and a wrap around strip. Eventually I found this and I've got to say: it's definitely surpassed expectations.My favourite parts:- Minimal design- Great unboxing experience- Enjoyable writing experience- Pen holder- Secret(ish) compartment- 3 marker ribbonsWhat I'd like to see:- More designs- Weaker velcro for the secret compartment (at the moment it's pretty strong, maybe replace it with weaker velcro or have a flap to close it instead)- Plain paper variants (although, I believe these are available just not with this particular journal)Despite my suggested improvements above, there really isn't any major negatives about this product, it ticked all my boxes.Though I've not tried any other journals on Amazon. I would definitely recommend this, I hope you consider it.

Its just Quality

The journal is beautiful. It is definitely vegan leather. I expected it to be a little softer suede feeling. It is rough, but doesn't hinder the quality. I saw a photo of a narrow piece of loop fastener in the pouch section. The one I received has the fastener running almost the entire length of the opening. It is much sturdier and will be more secure so small items like coins have less of a chance of falling out. I was also concerned that the pattern would be a little different, such as the leaves would be in a different position. I was pleased that the leaves on the journal I received are in the same place as the journal in the photo.

Edit: After my original review, the designer of this journal contacted me. They were unaware of this issue with the velcro being too strong for the lining and will be COMPLETELY FIXING it in the future with longer, weaker velcro for the pocket. They also provided me with an alternate journal at no cost to myself. Though it was originally two stars, I am changing this to a five star review because I believe more people and companies should be like Valery. They are very concerned with the quality of their product and the happiness of their customers.I received this journal as a christmas present and have been writing in it daily for one week at the time of this review. I love the design and writing in it has been a great experience. The trouble came when I tried to open the velcro pocket to keep some loose papers together. The first time I opened the pocket, the lining ripped. The velcro is too strong and the quality of the journal does not hold up. Honestly I would have returned the item altogether but would have also had to return the journal insert I have been writing in for a week. It is all really disappointing.

This is a beautiful journal. The pages are numbered and there is a table of contents. The vegan leather is soft, and there is no bleeding thru the paper. The A5 size fits perfectly in my totebag. I was looking for a journal that I wanted to keep close by and use frequently, and this is the one. I have already purchased a refill notebook as I plan to use this journal for years.
