Good Quality. Works Great.

Forget about the brand name on this torque wrench and just use it. It works great. The quality is good. It is serving me well. I use it on my motorcycle. When I have torque specs, I use a torque wrench. Usually. I used to own a Craftsman torque wrench, and this one works just as well. If I were a professional mechanic, working for a living, torquing lots of nuts and bolts, I would probably purchase a Snap- On or something. But for my own use, which is occasionally, this one is effective. I recommend it.

Sturdy wrench, easy to use, bonus case for long term storage

This appears to be a solid torque wrench, with a nice case to store it in between my very rare uses, and the price was excellent for what I got. I've gone 60 years without really needing a torque wrench, but decided to install a trailer hitch on my own to save $200 and figured securing the bolts to specs was pretty important and for about $25 I could have some peace of mind.To adjust to the desired torque, you loosen up the bottom bolt and then turn the lower part of the handle. There are etched marks along the handle to show where it's set in intervals of 5/10 ft lbs, and marks around the lower handle for finer settings. It also shows newton meters if that's your thing. The size and weight are equivalent to a large ratchet wrench and it feels well made. I needed to hit about 50 ft lbs which was my limit for vertical bolts while laying on my back, but you can set is up to 80. When you're torqued to the proper setting, the clutch mechanism will slip a little and you'll hear a click. Very easy to use and as long as you set the number right and torque until it clicks you can't go wrong.I got the 3/8" model since that's what most of my sockets fit. Some of my extensions seems loose on the wrench so it was a little awkward to use, but it's no worse of a fit than my regular wrenches and only stands out because I'm putting so much force on it.The storage case seems excessive, but I don't expect to be using this very often, so hopefully it'll keep things from rusting. This saved me a bunch of money and was very satisfying to finally hear the "click" and know I'm done.

Good product; uneasy about the protection plan

I bought the 3/8"-drive Amazon Basics torque wrench. I could have spent a lot more, but no reason to think more $ = more quality. I also read the 1-star reviews for every brand I considered. I concluded that every brand sends out X% junk torque wrenches. So I bought this one and paid Amazon for an Amazon 3-year warranty. Amazon will be around in 3 years, right. The wrench arrived in 24 hours, shiny, hew, apparently perfect. I put it right to work. I'd bought a new Ego LM2156SP battery-powered lawnmower to replace my old Honda-powered Craftsman gasser. Guess what, the Craftsman was metal; the Ego is plastic. On the Craftsman, I just tighten the bolt until it's snug, then once more till I grunt. Do that on the Ego and I will strip something. Don't switch blades without a torque wrench? Like working on a carbon-fiber bicycle. The torque wrench worked perfectly as advertised. What more can I say? I little hard for my old eyes to dial in the numbers, but once I did, it clicked like it should. Plenty of length on the bar to get 60 NM without staining myself. Of course I have no way of knowing if it was accurate. Now, the extra "warranty" I paid Amazon for. It's from Asurion. I gave up trying to read all the 1-star Asurion reviews on Amazon! I hope this torque wrench marches on, because I have little confidence in my extra warranty! Wish I had been more careful. I should have noticed a third party was involved in the warranty before I bought it!

Arrived on time works great so far very satisfied

Useless from the start

I tested it by setting to lowest torque, and it didn't "click" no matter how hard I pressed.

Reliable Torque Wrench for Motorcycle Work

This 3/8-inch drive torque wrench is perfect for motorcycle maintenance, like removing seats or tightening bolts. The click mechanism is easy to use, and the 15-80 ft.-lb range covers most torque specs for bikes like my ZX6R. Pro tip: always reset the wrench to the lowest setting after use to maintain accuracy over time. Solid tool for precise work!

Last 1 year

It lasted a year before not clicking when stuff is torqued and honestly I don't know how accurate it was before that but you get what you get for the price.
