I love making a big pot of soup and then parceling out some of the leftovers to the freezer for days when there's no time to cook. Half-gallon containers are just the right size for our down-sized nest, but I wasn't able to find any like this at our local multi-mart stores. Amazon to the rescue! The containers I got have green lids which I like even better than these blue ones. I ordered two sets for 4 total containers and they are in constant use. They clean up easily, nest for storage, and pack neatly side by side in limited freezer space. The lids fit securely and the boxes are sufficiently sturdy to store soup with no worries of warping or spilling. Very satisfied.

I have purchased several of these containers & love them. They hold a large amount of food and are sturdy. You do have to be mindful when placing the lids on them, making sure all corners are secured & giving them a little "burp" to release the air inside. Once you do that and place them in your freezer (where they fit & stack quite efficiently), you only have to be careful not to dislodge the lids while rummaging in your freezer. When I need more containers, I will definitely be purchasing these again.

I got these containers in the half-gallon size to collect meat bones and scraps in the freezer to make my own broths. For that purpose, they are excellent. I can open the container, add a few items, re-seal, and return to the freezer. So far, they have held up well through several cycles through the dishwasher (but never heated drying). My only quibble is the rim of the lid is quite shallow, making it more difficult to remove. There is a small pull-tab, but I find it too small to be useful. The edge of the lid, where it lips over the top edge of the carton, needs to be deeper so you can get a better finger-hold to open it.

These containers are the perfect way to pack bags of fruit into my freezer! The square shape is space efficient, and I can stack them two high on a freezer shelf. I freeze individual packages of fruit/berries into zip-loc snack bags; then I toss 15-20 bags into one of these 1/2 gallon containers, so they have adequate 'freezer' protection. The small snack bags of fruit are easily removed one at a time, for use in my smoothies.

These lasted for 3 years of steady use before the container body deteriorated and started leaking. They did receive some, but limited, use in freezer, dishwasher and microwave. They did stack and store very nicely...while they lasted. Now, they are just landfill material. Nothing like filling them with fresh, warm chicken stock and having a puddle on the counter.

These containers have s top that is difficult to close. It has very little overlap and it is easy to think it is closed when it is not. It did not feel secure when I put some in some. liquid, nor when I used it for home made ice cream. It might be ok for cookies or storage not I the kitchen. I definitely do not recommend it

I use this container to make wipes. Half a roll of Bounty paper towels fit in here almost perfectly. I gotta squish it down a little once the liquid is absorbed, but the lid still manages to have a tight fit. I was a little sad to find out this was now an add-on item so I'll have to wait to order another set to give as Homemade Wipes gifts. These are perfect for the job I gave them though.
