Core Flytes requires more effort to control when performing moving exercises, like lunges and ab rollouts. 3. Increased Core & Other Muscle Activation: The Core Flytes can move along multiple axes while under load, requiring little or no force to change direction at any moment. This requires the user to activate more secondary and supporting muscles, plus core and abdominal muscles, to stabilize the Core Flytes during any exercise.4. Omni-directional Movement: Other products with wheels or flat smooth surfaces can only move well across the floor in one direction at a time, requiring the user to apply force in that particular direction. Using Core Flytes is similar to what you'd feel while doing exercises on a medicine ball or stability ball. The Core Flytes also have a convex top that allows you to keep your hands or feet positioned at a comfortable angle, reducing the amount of stress on your wrists and ankles. When you're using the Core Flytes with your hands on them, you place some or a large part of your bodyweight on them. You should consult a doctor to prescribe an exercise routine that accommodates for your injury.

Hi Julie - Each pair of Core Flytes comes with an 8-week workout guide poster detailing a range of exercises and different levels (beginner, medium, advanced). Free workout videos are also available on FlyteFitness.com and YouTube.

Q: how well would these discs work on a carpeted surface, want to buy them for my daughter to use at home and her apartment is carpeted ?

They have nylon rollers. They don't roll well on tile, so I would be amazed if they rolled on carpet.I purchased these, but returned them. It's not a $100 quality item - cheaply made (in my opinion). I made a set myself using some ball bearing caster wheels (which you can buy for a fraction of the Core Flyte).
