Full Housing Case Cover Housing Shell Replacement for Game boy Color GBC Shell Case with Buttons Kit (Clear Black+Colorful Buttons/Lens)

I'm judging this item mostly for the shell.Overall, it's not bad. But it does have some small issues which I'll address.First, the size opening for the A/B buttons on the shell needs a bit more trimming. On my first installation, the buttons got stuck and didn't go all the way through the opening. But they worked fine after that.I wanted to use different buttons, but the ones included are fine, you may need to shave off some excess pieces from the moulding.Honestly, that's the only con with the shell.All the screws included, and the extra parts like the power switch slider, and the IR cover fit perfectly fine.One interesting bit is that the battery cover fit perfectly fine (at least for me), and does not wiggle around like most other aftermarket ones. The other positive is that the power switch slider easily clicks up and down without having to trim or use excessive force, again, unlike most other aftermarket shells which seem to press against the switch making it difficult to turn the handheld on.Finally, one minor nitpick; the included back sticker. It's fine for what it is, but there are some details that are off, two in fact:The edges are squared, while the original ones are rounded, and the size is a bit smaller than original ones.Other than that, it's fine, the color isn't the cheap light gray hue which is hard to see unless you're in direct light. Letters are all perfectly visible and the color is good.I think what more manufacturers need to do is also include the battery cover sticker, and the bar code label/serial number sticker, and this shell would be a very good purchase. As it stands, it's not bad but could definitely be improved upon.

Loved the fit and finish. I was worried about these overall quality, as the price was super competitive, but was so pleasantly surprised to see everything exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to a friend for sure. Would buy again if needed.

Terrible quality, ordered my first one and the screws wouldnt even fit in the provided case, nothing was flush, the audio control disk was cramped, terrible button cut outs. I don't recommend this product. Quality control is terrible. Hoping my replacement will take care of these issues. I will update.Update:The replacement shell was no better. Never buy from here.

Breathed new life in to a 2nd hand gbc I picked up at the flea market. Looks gorgeous. Super simple, just one ribbon cable to remove and you're golden.

Ive had my old gameboy color from when i was a kid and decided to change the shell. I love pokemon so decided to purchase this shell replacement. My gameboy looks brand new and it has pokemon on it, perfect to ho with my pokemon silver game.

Replacement Lens was horribly scratched and scuffed up, missing battery cover, screws came stripped, small chip out of front of shell, black scuff/burn? marks on the metal cartridge bit inside the shell. Promptly returned

I noticed that the ph screw driver is not the right size for the ph screws that hold the motherboard down. The tri-wing screw driver seems to work well but won’t know till later. Shell seems pretty solid other wise and have no other complaints

Casing didn't even fit, screws were either missing or stripped. Sent it back asap.
