Helped my 16yo cat
I'm very thankful for this product. My 16yo (almost 17) female cat has struggled with hard bowel movements for about two years, so we started using generic benefiber in her food, and that helped. This was something my vet has always recommended for our older cats (always check with your own vet first, of course). But a couple of weeks ago my cat suddenly couldn't poop at all. It seemed completely stuck. By directive of the vet we increased the fiber significantly and multiple times a day. It didn't do much. Although it has helped long term, short term was useless. After about five days, and one vet visit saying we have to consider euthanasia, the vet said to pretty much do whatever I thought could help. Apparently the hard stool wasn't the problem at all. From old age, my cat lacks the strength in her abdominal walls to push the stool along. She was a petite 6 pound cat, and was down to 5 pounds. SKELETAL. She had become so weak that her little meow didn't have a sound when she would try to be heard. I already use Animal Essentials brand for their "tinkle tonic" for my cat with urinary blocking problems (Totally worth it! Go to that product to see the review I left there.), so when I went to amazon searching for anything that might help and saw this brand offered something for the colon, I thought why not? I ordered it and amazingly received it the VERY next morning. Just getting it so quickly was a relief. Cats lose weight so fast! When I gave this to my cat, I noticed within minutes she was already slightly (very slightly) more energetic. I don't know what the calories are in it, but whatever sugar content/nutrients it has perked her up. For that alone I would recommend this to someone with a cat with hard stool/weak bowel problems who has stopped eating. I give this to my cat three times a day, and after the first day, she began to eat small amounts again. After two days, her meow returned. By day three she could scream her meow again lol. We are now one week later, using it three times a day and she has gotten her feistiness back, and her appetite is FULL force! She hurries away when I try to give her the medicine, she struggles, paws, squirms and fusses. She doesn't seem to mind the flavor, but she does NOT like having it administered to her. I just can't risk putting it on a plate for her to lick up and maybe not feeling like eating it that dose, so we administer it with a little dropper to be sure. She does still struggle a little with her bowel movements, but they aren't rock hard anymore and the struggle is definitely less. The stools are just normal firmness like our other cats. Her weight is VERY SLOWLY returning, which is to be expected because of her age. The upswing just lags on these things.I should also say, with her size, and her body and mouth are so tiny compared to my male cats, we can't use the full recommended dose. The bottle recommends .5ml dose, but her mouth is too small and I don't want her to choke, so we use .3 and it still works fine for us. Our vet is aware that we're using this Colon Rescue and they approve. You should always check with your vet with any type of medication or holistic regimen, but I have to say from my personal experience, this has been a life saver for us. I am so thankful! I already ordered a bigger bottle because my little kitty is doing so well on it. Awesome!

A miracle!
I have a senior cat who is 19 years old. She been constipated and she was having a hard time to go poop. I had found this product, and hoping it will work. I had given to her, she actually went regular size, and her poop was not hard like she normally does. My advice is do not stopped giving your senior cat once they went poop. I had stopped giving it to her once she went poop which it was a big mistake. She had the hardest time going poop and I felt so bad. I ended up giving her again and later on coconut oil. She finally was able to go. After, that I NEVER stopped giving it to her. I will give it to her morning and night. She has been going regularly now.

Buyer bewar. Not for constipation
Buyer beware, this product sent my cat to ER. I gave my cat one dose a day for 3 days on the 4th day he vomited after giving a dose to him. He then became lethargic, stopped eating and continued to vomit. I took him to ER. I showed this product to the ER vet and she stated that this is for diarrhea not constipation as noted on the description. It took one full week and over $2,000 in vet bills to bring him back to normal.

Disappointed
This didn't do anything for my fur baby. I can't blame it on this product it's just her. I have been trying a lot of things to help her stomach problems and this was just one more thing I wanted to try. I was disappointed that this was just another thing to try that didn't work out.

Works!
This product worked for my dog. I give once a day in the morning. I don’t give a full dose. She is sixty pounds and I give her one and a quarter droppers full. She’s been much more regular on this supplement. Much better than the stool softener I was using before
