Razo RA66 Black/Dark Chrome 400 Grams Carbon Manual Shift Knob

I bought this knob as a temporary replacement for my RX-8 since the factory one costs 3 times as much as this. The OEM shift knob weights 300g so I needed something of the same weight or slightly heavier. This the only one I could find with the desired weight--400g--that did not look too tacky or preposterous. I was considering a full real titanium knob but it would have looked completely out of place as it would not have matched the rest of interior of the car. This goes well with the black and carbon fiber dashboard of my car.I should mention I have a short shifter in my car and the shape of this knob really helps transition between gears quite quickly when shifting above 6000rpms.The only negative aspect I can find in this knob is that it gets really hot in the sun if you don't use a sunshade--which I do--and that the top might come loose after a while due to the vibrations of the shifter; under such case RAZO recommend using a small amount to crazy glue under the cap to ensure this doesn't happen anymore.In conclusion, this is a superb quality, good looking shift knob that is highly affordable.

Really solid piece. Surprised me for the price. Had no issues with fitment, it came with multiple adapters to fit different threads and different heights. Looks good and has enough weight to make shifting comfortable.

It is very easy to install and a good quality shift knob. Better than I expected and a great price. Looks great in my Evo X. Excellent weight as well.

2016 Subaru WRX STIA very good weighted shift knob, had a bit of difficulty getting g this to work because of the reverse lockout collar. I tried using the 12mm adapter but it would just screw too far down and I had decided to just use in my Suzuki Alto Works. However, the other day I tried to get it to work again and just used the 10mm adapter and it was able to screw on with minimal effort. Enough to keep it tight and not too far down as to not interfere with trying to place it in reverse. Overall, I’m very pleased with the knob. Really good shifts. I already had a Greddy weighted knob but wanted something that had some carbon fiber so that it matched up with the other interior pieces. Hopefully mine will not suffer from any defects like others said with theirs, perhaps investing in a knob cover to place on it will prevent that when not in use, I dunno…

Very difficult buying shift knobs online where you can't see or feel them in person. Writing this to clear up any misconceptions. My biggest concern was the top and bottom portion being mirrored silver rather than "dark chrome" as the description says. Thought this after seeing several pictures of this circulating throughout the internet. To clear things up, the metallic part is in fact 'smoked' and didn't distract from the dark interior theme in my Integra. Second the weight: I didn't know what 400g felt like, now that I have it I can assure it feels like a shift knob should, and in my opinion paying twice the price for a different brand with a little more weight is not worth it. I can be demanding and overly critical of car parts, especially something as simple as a shift knob, but this is one of those cases where going all out is not necessary, this is a quality part for the price both in looks and functionality. Also worried it might be too tall, but size was reasonable, roughly the size of a medicine bottle, fell into my hand nicely and the package comes with spacers so you can raise it up from stock height if you chose to do so. Been eyeing this for a year along with 2 others, glad I finally broke down and got this. A+

Pros:Heavy, which is better for shifting.Looks good in the car.Cons:Top screws off every once in awhile.Doesn't fit well in a Mr2(took modifying).

Doesn't look tacky/over the top. Nice sleek and stylish. Very happy with it. Went on nice the first time around, but if its taken on and off I'm not sure how well it would go, the adapter is a plastic cylinder that get narrower twards the top, as you screw it on it gets tighter around it. If you unscrew you might have to screw it a little bit more than the previous time, which might make the cap's top sticker(carbon fiber logo) a bit skewed. Haven't had any problems with it and I don't feel like I will, but I don't want to muck with it to find out.

Looks great when first installed, but has a lot of issues after some normal use. First, the top of shift knob is wearing away. The dark "chrome" finish is rubbing off as time goes on. Sadly, it didn't even take long for this to happen, it's bee maybe 7 months since I purchased this and the finish is basically worn. Also, the knob annoying vibrates during acceleration. I have a 350z so maybe it's more noticeable in my car but I shouldn't have to tape or place spacers into a $50 shift knob to stop it from vibrating, and it's not a quiet vibration it's basically like shaking a salt shaker real hard. Overall, I would recommend the buyer look into something better or cheaper as this wasn't worth the money.

The heavy shift knob provides a great shifting experience, not to mention the good looks.It has been 6 months and I have not experienced any cosmetic degradation. Quality product!
