Seems good quality, easy install, blocks view well enough for me
Just arrived and installed, so do not know about durability, but it feels like pretty decent quality. Very happy with this, definitely better quality than the landscape material I ziptied to my fence last year, and looks much better. Wish the grommets were black rather than silver, but I knew that when I purchased it. Does not block visibility entirely, but suitable for me, and again, I knew that when I purchased. Does block better than I hoped, after reading other reviews. Extremely happy with this.

they're in great shape! I was expecting to see holes and ...
We've had these up in our chain link fence now for almost a year. We ordered them to keep our neighbor's toddlers from being able to stick their hands through the fence to pet our dogs, and to block the view of the neighbor's yard from the dogs (trying to minimize barking). I actually just checked the mats today, and they're holding up very well. There are a few areas around one or two of the grommets that are slowly wearing thin, but other than that, they're in great shape! I was expecting to see holes and rips from the dog's jumping on it, but there's nothing! I would purchase these again in a heartbeat!

Great product
What a great product! We needed to keep our German Shepherd from acting out is fence aggression with the dog next door and this product was perfect. Super easy to install with zip cables. If you cannot have a wood privacy fence this product is what you need. One of the best purchases I've made.

Has reduced barking, but they still bark sometimes.
I purchased this to discourage my dogs from barking at the neighbors dogs. There is a 4ft space between our fences, and both are 4ft high. You can still see through the mesh to some extent but it has made a difference. My dogs are only outside with supervision (as opposed to all day) so when they go out they immediately look toward the fence to see if the neighbor dog is outside. If the neighbor dog is out, but not moving much (like, just lying in the grass) then my dogs are less likely to notice he's there and they just do their own thing for a bit and then come back in. But if the neighbor dog is moving around it will catch my dogs' attention and they will run over and bark a bit. The mesh distorts what they can see so they seem less interested in the other dog now. The farther they are from the fence, the less likely they are to notice him when he is out, especially if he is far away from his fence. The angle of the sun makes a difference too. When it's at the right angle you can't see through it, but when it's back lit you can really see through it. If a human is in the other yard they can see them over the top of the fence (from a distance) so I don't think the mesh effect helps much until the dogs run over and get so close to the fence that they can't see over the top of it anymore. I bought 2 pieces of the mesh but haven't tried adding the second piece to make it darker. The grommets are well placed and each one is reinforced with a solid fabric. The appearance from the outside of the fence is fine, I don't love the way it looks from the inside, my lot isn't flat so the fabric doesn't hang as nice as it would on a perfectly straight fence, but also I have only fastened it at the top for now.

Durable!
I originally installed this product 8 years ago in my Arizona garden. They finally tore out in high winds last month. I replaced it with the same product, based on the last installation's durability in the AZ heat. Tip, don't strap to your fence with zip ties. Use wire to attach, the plastic ties are good to hold in place for the wire installation but will break down in a year or so of being outdoors.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT save yourself the aggravation and don't buy this
BEWARE OF THE FALSE ADVERTISING I bought this product so my dogs couldn't see through my fence because they constantly run along the fence and tear my yard up. J saw the picture and the product looked like it was almost not see through at all.......the real product is not even remotely close to the picture. So I called to tell them I want a so confused one sent because the real thing was not at all what the picture looked like. The owner said if he had to send out free product to everyone that complained he would be out of business. So he knows his product is junk. Please don't waste your time with this. I am in the process of getting a lawyer and taking him to court for false advertising

Not a perfect visual barrier.
Bought this because my German Shepherd has always barked and ran with the neighbor's dog that we share a fence with. It was always a big production with my one dog running back and forth with the 3 dogs next doors. The yard was always torn up and nearly all winter it was a muddy mess along that fence. My floors and rugs took a heavy toll, especially after my new wife moved in with a Great Dane. When those 3 older dogs passed away and they bought a puppy, I figured this was a good time to try a new approach to this whole thing. Hopefully I could keep my dog from teaching this new puppy the same behavior. I had to be out there with my Shepherd to help prevent this, but he still got all crazy whenever the puppy came to the fence when I wasn't out with him. Then one day when I wasn't with him, he broke a tooth on the chain link fence running with the puppy and I figured this was the last straw. Did some googling and found this product. Read it blocks roughly 88% visibility. Well, when you look through it from the dogs point of view, with the sky in the background, stuff on the other-side is easily visible. However, it is just barely enough that I can break my dog's OCD behavior and grab his attention enough to play and throw ball. Or get some grooming done with out him obsessing about where the puppy is. It also prevents my dog from biting the fence while he running and breaking another tooth, hopefully. So, it works... kinda. You'd be surprised how much 12% visibility is and if you have a particularly stubborn dog, it might not be the easy fix you think it is. I understand it needs to be a little porous for a breeze to pass through so the thing doesn't act like a sail in a heavy wind but I wish it blocked more vision somehow. It is sturdy, however, and hope it holds up in a high wind situation, but we'll see. So, in short, it's doing half of what I bought it for. The dog can't bite the fence anymore but he can still see through it.
