It works as intended.
Overall, I am happy with product. I found the welding pliers to be a bit cumbersome when griping finer thermocouple wires because it was difficult to touch the thermocouple to the welding electrode. Pliers with an angled nose would probably be easier to use.

Works as well as the $1800 unit I'd used before. I've used on 32 gage and 24 gage.
