Horton Hatches the Egg Hardcover – Import, December 31, 2007

Book is well made and the same amazing story I enjoyed as a kid of the 70s. My Granddaughter loves this book at age almost 4 so we have a lot of time of reading and enjoying together. So thankful I can still find my childhood favorites on Amazon.

An absolutely splendid, irresistible book supposedly for children, but great at any age for affirmation that kindness and faithfulness are more important than appearance or "image." Horton the elephant is mocked by others for tending the egg in a bird's nest when the mama-to-be flies off to party. He remains steadfast: "'I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An elephant's faithful one-hundred percent!'"

Granddaughter loves it

Bought to read one of my childhood favorites to great granddaughter. It talks about the importance of commitment and keeping your word no matter what. No selective ethics here! Highly recommended.

A classic to be shared with grandchild.

Horton hatches the egg is my favorite Dr. Seuss book. I recommend it for all ages. It has a lesson much needed today.

This is the perfect book to read to your newborns when their eyesight is still developing. Perfect contrasting black and white photos with some red in there. The pages are nice and thick, very good quality book, and such a great story!

Dr Seuss at his best.

Great book. Horton and that lazy Maisy bird. My 4 year old grandson is becoming quite a Dr. Suess fan. I have purchased quite a few Suess books to add to his library. You can't go wrong with a Dr. Suess book.

This is a story about Horton the elephant, who heard a Who in a different Dr. Seuss book. This story is equally captivating and entertaining. It's well illustrated. My 10-year-old daughter enjoyed it very much. It's a great diversion from tablets and TV.

I read this book so much as a child I knew it off by heart!The story of poor Horton the elephant, who does a favour for his bird friend Maisie, but then she swans off and enjoys her life leaving Horton sitting on her nest! Children will love the ridicules story of an elephant sitting on a bird’s nest in a tree!I bought this copy for my friend’s son and I hope he loves it as much as I did.

Beautiful story of being faithful, honest and responsible. We love it. One of the best of Dr Seuss in my opinion.

es un libro con tapas blandas, lo están leyendo mis hijos en 3 de primaria en un colegio bilingue. tiene rima, es divertido y original. el vocabulario es algo complicado sobre todo al final del libro. hay videos en youtube donde lo leen en ingles (para padres que no sabemos mucho inglés o no tenemos buena pronunciación ). también tiene una app de pago (unos 3 eur) donde lo leen y trabajan.las ilustraciones no son muy allá pero suficientes para ir entendiendo la historia, y la letra algo pequeña para niños, pero se lee bien.
