ProQuest Statistical Abstract of the United States 2015: The National Data Book (ProQuest Statistical Abstract Series)

For the numerically inclined.
It's statistical abstracts.... As I am not a professional, the $150 for a current (2015) was not worth it, but for under $20, the used past year is good enough. It is a great source to double check statements made by various officials and talking heads. I often find statements do not match or even correlate with the facts. I mostly use it for income distribution and wealth by various categories, and also for birth rates. It is unfortunate the the GPO quit printing it, but ProQuest maintains the quality. It would be nice if they got rid of the hard cover and lower the price.

Sometimes patience is rewarded.
The volume that the federal government stopped producing is available as a high-priced commercial offering. Sometimes used volumes come on the aftermarket and this is one I found. All the useful (and useless) data that numerically describes our nation.Fact junkies like me love this.

Data, data, data!
All right, so the plot's not much, and with that large a cast of characters, it can be hard to know who's doing what to whom and who'll get paid. But there's nothing as important as knowing the facts -- a theme the ages will never surpass nor obsolete. That's more than enough to overlook minor flaws of style!

Should make data even more accessible
It is great these publishers stepped in to filll Census void. But would be much better if one could download the data at a ressonsble price. My investigation of that looks like it os limited to libraries snd costly. Publisher might make more at cheaper price on volume for downloads.

Came very quickly and nicely packaged. Excellent job. And, just for good measure, we loved the book itself.
